You know the thing some girls (me included) do where we look at things when going shopping and saying they're pretty or would look good with other clothes or accessoires but then put them back instead of buying them.
Simon would be confused as hell. If he thinks something practical or good looking then he buys it. Why don't you do it? If it's for money, he'll gladly give you his credit card. So why would you want something and then put it back?
The first time it happend was when you were shopping with Simon. While you were walking between the necklace and earrings, commenting some, your boyfriend looked like a elephant in a china shop.
"This would fit so good with the sundress you got me.", you said, holding a delicate necklace with a ribbon as pendant. Simon only hummed in agreement. For a second you took a another look before putting it back and continue to look trough other necklaces.
The look Simon gives you is one of pure confusion. "Lovie?", he asks. "If you struggle with money, you can always ask me, you know?" Now it is you who looks at him confused. "What? I don't struggle, everything's alright. Why would you ask that?" "The necklace, if you want it, I can buy it for you."
For a second the wheels in your head turn. "Oh" You giggle and take his hand to pull him further trough the store. "Just because it looks pretty, doesn't mean I always need it." Simon only grunts.
Even if it meant to settle Simon's mind, it doesn't. The rest of the weeks he spends home, he can not not think about it. Back at base he asks Kyle and Jonny because they grew up with sisters and are mostly a help when it comes to understanding women.
" 'orry mate, donnae an answer 'o tha' .", Jonny says with a sigh. Kyle also shakes his head. "I've got no idea. My girl does it too but she just shrugged it off."
Now all three men look at Price for help. Their Captain just laughs. "You've got a lot to learn, boys. For the moment, just live with it."
