My limited knowledge of coding, prior to enrolling at Hackeryou, was born out of a desire to learn HTML and CSS, in order to create beautiful, accessible sites. This wish was only marginally satisfied through online tutorials, reading and researching online, and even by taking out books from my local Toronto Public Library.

This is not to say my previous pursuit was ineffective, but I needed a setting like the one (and only) at Hackeryou, where being fully immersed, and learning by using tangible examples and relevant application is a constant source of inspiration as I broaden my scope of knowledge.

Spurned by the Instructors and Mentors at Hackeryou and bolstered by my fellow web developers in my cohort, I have surpassed what I thought was possible in just the first 4 days of Hackeryou’s Spring Front-End Bootcamp.

I have included a screenshot of two sections of my first website that I am most proud of. They include the navigation section at the top (see above) and the contact form (below). The contact form was especially trying to complete, as I worked for hours to position the various elements in an attractive but simple, clean design. What you see below is my first foray into an interactive contact form where visitors can submit their inquiries/comments/messages.

I hope you enjoy and I can honestly guarantee that with my unrelenting desire to learn and my vision of creating stunningly beautiful and effective websites, my skills will improve exponentially over the following 9 weeks.
