Guys! Today is #nationalreadabookday so I thought I'd share with you the books that had the biggest impact on me when I started my journey 10 years ago. It's because of these books that I learned what veganism was and why it was the only way to live. "The Ethics of What We Eat" by @peter__singer was the book that made me stop eating eggs - the last animal food I gave up. I love this book! "Breaking the Food Seduction" by Neal Barnard. I read this aloud in the car driving to NC for our anniversary. It made it clear that cheese and dairy had to go and that being a vegetarian was only a stepping stone. Of course, the classic Jon Robbins "Diet for a New America." You know he was the heir to Baskin-Robbins, right? Plus Melanie Joy's "Why We Love Dogs, Eat Pigs and Wear Vows: An Introduction to Carnism" to explain meat-eating. Everything Jeffrey Masson writes is just beautiful!!! And Will Tuttle's "World Peace Diet" which I read when I took his course to become a WPD Facilitator. #veganbooks #willtuttle #nealbarnard #jonrobbins #petersinger #jeffreymasson #melaniejoy https://www.instagram.com/p/BnZh9-anlQw/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=102904oui3u8y
