This isn’t going to be an extensive meta, it’s just something I just realised from 7x02 while Jon and Sansa looked over the children training.

yes, it’s a direct callback to a similar scene from S1E01 that ties another Ned x Cat parallel:

but camera pans away from the children too quickly for me to catch onto this little detail before; they foreshadow the future children Sansa may have.

“In Sansa’s dreams, her children looked just like the brothers she had lost. Sometimes there was even a girl who looked like Arya.” - A Storm of Swords: Steel and Snow.

Look closely at the children and their respective hair:

You know what I’d always pictured Jonsa’s babies would look like? Beautiful dark-haired and ginger/auburn-haired children, that’s what. It would echo Ned and Cat once more, too - Ned(book!wise) with his dark brown hair, and Catelyn with her auburn hair.

And who could forget Jon dreaming of a son:

“A son was something Jon Snow had never dared dream of, since he decided to live his life on the Wall. I could name him Robb.” - A Storm of Swords.

It introduces us to the idea of these two fantasising about their own future children in the same book. More importantly, it draws us to conclude that not only do these two want the same thing, but that they could complete each other’s fantasy.

its funny and pathetic to hear grown men act like 12 year olds on youtube making season 8 predictions gushing over the boatsex and how cute will be for jon dany to make dragon babies and rule westeros together LMAOF meanwhile most predictions for sansa once again are grim dark suffering a terrible death shocker , and every season she comes back stronger and defies all their stupid predictions ,i will be laughing at them when she survives them all and becomes queen despite being with jon or not , if these idiots payed closer attention they would have figure out jonsa being endgame kills them to admit it becasue of hate they have for sansa they dont want her to have a happy or decent ending but when jon and sansa are endgame i wonder what they will say ? i suppose something clever like LF would have LOL
