Tinfoil Theory: Teams are Going To Form and Unexpected Alliances are Going to Happen. Jon, Sansa and Cersei Might be That Unexpected Alliance.

I’ve been thinking about this for awhile and considered writing a meta about this but thought otherwise. After watching last night teaser though, it gave me the courage to finally write this shit! Ok so before anyone shuts me down hear me out. For me one of the most important plots of season 8 is a Sansa and Cersei reunion. I think it’s an essential part for the conclusion of the Game of Thrones especially since I think Sansa is the Younger More Beautiful Queen to cast down Cersei. With that being said these are 3 realistic ways I feel like that reunion is going to take place:

1. Winterfell being evacuated and the North crew heading south. (This was my initial thought and I think this still seems plausible with Winterfell set leaks)

2. Kidnapping Plot. (At first I thought this was a tinfoil idea but heavy subtle forewshadowing seems to stay otherwise. It could also explain the Jon being in King’s Landing.)

3. An alliance. The enemy of my enemy is my friend because Cersei is not the real threat to the well-being of Westeros; Dany is! (An option not really explored but it could provide a major twist to the show and be another possible reason of why Jon’s in King’s Landing)

Don’t get me wrong I don’t see anyone remaining allies for long! But to come against a greater enemy I can see it happening. Cersei is untrustworthy but if given the opportunity, I think she would jump at the chance to form an alliance against Dany. Also I can’t help but think that season 8 of Game of Thrones is going to be the Avengers Game of Thrones edition with new alliances formed and two distinct teams fighting against each other. I mean again this is just me speculating but I can honestly see this playing out.

Also am I only one that thinks the teaser is saying a lot more in that few seconds about the season finale?!! Call me crazy but I think there is a lot of foreshadowing of what’s to come. Mind you in the clip you have Jon say “There’s only one war that matters.” Then in the next scene Cersei says “We’ll face it together.” IMMEDIATELY after they cut to these scenes of Dany:

Granted they didn’t show the part where she exceutes the tarlys but they chose to show scenes where Dany’s choices are called into question as she anniahalates the Lannister army. They also edited Jon and Cersei’s clips like they are potential allies when we know from season 7 that’s not the case!!!! Also with the show hyping up the Night King as the endgame villain and Dany as an endgame hero, it makes no sense that the show chose to pass up on any clips of the Night King and the White Walkers or better yet Dany burning up White Walkers! Instead they chose these scenes below! And then to add the cherry on top they put in Jaimie scenes with clips of him suffering ptsd of kingdom burning and the aftermath of his army being annihilated!!!

Anyway make what you will of this tinfoil meta but these are just my thoughts! What do you guys think?!

If undercover jon sounds crazy.....

Just remember a few things.

1) We got the scene of Jon and Sansa explaining to each other they understand the threats that are coming from the north and south better than anyone.

2) The northern lords have made it clear their allegiance can change easily. And that they are not happy about their king leaving the north to ask a Targaryan and a Lanister for help.

3) Jon's mission to Dragonstone was to get a powerful army to the north to help fight the "real" war.

4) Jon risked literally everything durring the weight hunt to ask Cersi to a sease fire. So she and Dany can turn their forces towards the real threat.

Now. Ask yourself, why?

Why after he watched a dragon die. Watched his uncle die. After he nearly died. Why would he immediately throw the plan of convincing Cersi to help out the fucking window?

Why would he leave south and sleep with a foreigner. When he knows the northern lords didn't back him in the BOTB. Due to the fact his brother and father did the EXACT same thing?

It's because Jon's ultimate goal isn't to bring the realm together. It's to gain the largest army he can to head north to fight.

Nobody believes the severity of the situation when he tells them what he has seen. He has to convince strangers and enemies to come together and fight. That isn't going to happen by asking. Or even by proving the army of the dead is real.

He got Dany to see the army of the dead. She saw the NK in person. He killed one of her children. At this point she should be all in. But she is not. So Jon solidifies her support by bending the knee.

Then he does this.....

Durring the dragonpit meeting he announced to everyone he is pledged to the Targaryan cause. He crossed Cersi to the point where she wants to murder him. (Just like Sansa warned) Jon had to have known Cersi was not going to be a reliable ally no matter what she said. But his actions durring the dragon pit meeting got Dany and her dragons on board. And he got Cersi seeing red. She's determined to use not only the Lanister army to destroy Jon and his family. But the golden company as well.

Basically.....

Jon doesn't care about alliances. Truces. Titles. Or any of that crap. He cares about defeating the dead. That is his goal. Nothing else. He knows he might die in the process. But he has already died and had come back. He knows he is here for a reason. I don't think he cares about the repercussions of his actions at this point.

Calling him undercover Jon might be a little misleading. I would rather call him calculated. Or determined.

He left needing an army. And now he has the entire kingdom looking north. Towards the real threat. Mission accomplished.

Meta and Tinfoil

I don’t get it why Jonsas get so much ridicule for tinfoiling and meta. I mean I get it why Jon€rys shippers jump on our posts, but why do fellow Jonsas say, we shouldn’t be delusional and talk about ‘political Jon’ and ‘undercover Jon’ because the show clearly showed us Jon and Danielle in love with a love so compelling that it sweeps reason and thought away.

O.k. But anyway I see two possible outcomes:

1. Our tinfoils are right, Jon is not in love with Danielle, but with Sansa and Jonsa is endgame. Then we will have been right. Great, imho.

2. Our tinfoils are bullshit, Jon€rys is the greatest love story ever told and when the credits of season 8 run, we will have been delusional all the time. Not so great, but on the other hand, we have a loooooong hiatus before the next season, let alone the next book and meanwhile we will have the greatest fun in one of the greatest fandoms ever. And would we really care if the show goes for a bland Jon€rys story of ‘hero boy’ and ‘hero girl’? No, our headcanons will always be better.

Let’s face it: For Jonsas this is a win-win situation. Don’t be afraid. TINFOIL AWAY! EMBRACE THE METAS! - just as a side note: We are not delusional - nonshippers see the potential as well.

Sacrificial Lover = Show!Jon; Undercover Lover = Book!Jon

So here's my new hypothesis regarding Jon Snow. Show!Jon is sacrificing himself for the North. He knows he needs Danielle and her dragons on his side. After the Dragonpit, he knows that Danielle is still unwilling to commit to fighting the WW and give up her quest for the throne. Also, if he's not blind, he knows Danielle has feelings for him. He may have feelings for her. So, perhaps subconsciously, he starts making choices. He bends the knee and pledges fealty to her publcily. He knows there a disaster waiting for him in the North, but he ran out of options and he's willing to let his people see him as a traitor if he can save them. Noble, honorable, stumbling to catch up.

Book!Jon will be undercover Jon, under similar circumstances (though we'll be spared the nonsense that is the wight hunt suicide mission). He will know what he has to do to protect the North, and he'll plan accordingly. Book!Jon is very observant, and pretty grey as a character. I'd expect a lot more forethought on his part, and a better understanding of the consequences of his actions. Book!Jon might try to get a raven or a message to Sansa (or whoever's leading the North) explaining what he's doing.

Again, both Show!Jon and Book!Jon can have feelings for Danielle. They don't have to be heartless assholes. They do need to have their priorities straight. One's skating over thin ice as it breaks behind him. One's playing chess. They both have the security of their people as their top priority.

Basically, neither of them thought, in the middle of a war, "here's a beautiful queen I'm going to lose my head over, throwing out every lesson I've learned and every warning I've received in the process." I can't get behind that.

The Sound of Trumpets! 🎺

The trumpets blaring in these two moments has always been super significant to me! Trumpet sounds have symbolism to victory, jubilee, heroism, power, authority, social status etc. Trumpets are musical declarations/announcements.

I don’t think that it’s a coincidence that the two most critcal moments in Jon’s life in Season 6 both involved Sansa and both involved trumpet sounds. So if trumpets are considered musical declarations/announcements, what message was the sound trying to get across? Other than Sansa arriving to these places what do the trumpet sounds symbolize?

To me the trumpet sounds symbolize the tide of the battle turning both literally and figuratively in Jon’s life and the future that is in store for him as King with Sansa. The first scene where the trumpet is heard is when Sansa just arrived at Castle Black and Jon is literally throwing in the towel on his life. The second scene where the trumpet is heard is when Jon has been “reborn” and has made the choice to actually truly live again! Then the trumpet blares and Sansa comes with the Knights of the Vale.

What I mean by “the tide of the battle turning” is that both moments with Sansa signify a hopeful, destiny knocking, shift in Jon’s life. When Jon wanted to wander south in despair, the trumpet blares just as he’s about to leave and Sansa arrives to remind him of his purpose. Even if life has given him shit, wandering aimlessly down south is not his destiny. At the Battle of the Bastards, Jon fights for his life and crawls his way up from under the crowd. This is the first time we see Jon having the will to live all season long. He is essentially reborn again. As Jon just made the choice to live and all seemed lost in the battle, the trumpet blares and Sansa arrives with the Vale. Once again Sansa saves him, reminds him of his purpose but this time around he is ignited and pursues Ramsay.

Honestly, we can easily say that the trumpets sounds represent the same thing for Sansa as well. The moments in her life where a hopeful, destiny knocking, shift took place for her too. I also think it’s significant foreshadowing for Sansa as the future Queen of Westeros.

Trumpets have always been used for centuries to announce the arrival of royalty or present a newborn royal baby. I don’t think anyone else on the show has had big arrivals with trumpet sounds like Sansa. Also there was just something so majestic about he way the scenes were filmed.

Did anyone else think there was significance with the trumpet horns?

Sansa might be pregnant in season 8 instead of Dany!

Dany having a targ baby narratively doesn’t make sense. I ultimately believe Dany’s character arc is going to get dark and I think last season was leaving us subtle hints towards that. If Dany ended up winning the hearts of the people of Westeros, marrying Jon, having a targ baby and ruling the Irone Throne there would be no growth or lessons learned for her character. She would get everything she ever wanted and that’s not how Game of Thrones works.

There are lessons that the show is trying to teach us and one of the main lessons is that those who seek power are the least deserving of it. Seeking power has been Daenerys only goal since season 1. Even if she had good intentions, I believe her seeking the Iron Throne will be her ultimate demise in season 8. So if my theory is correct and Dany does turn dark for season 8, where does a targ baby come in? Do you really see Westeros embracing a future Targaryen heir even though for the entire series most of Westeros has feared the legacy of Targaryens? I don’t think so. Do you see Dany and Jon bonding over a Targaryen baby and even getting married because of it? I don’t think so.

The way that Jon and Dany’s relationship played out on the show and the constant interest in Dany’s fertility abilities makes me call b.s on the story they are trying to sell us. Game of Thrones, a show known for literally doing the absolute most unexpected things, will all of a sudden “reveal” all of their cards for the last season of one of the most popular television series of ALL TIME ...?!🙄 Not buying it for a second.

Instead I think Jon and Sansa will be endgame and Sansa might be the one who ends up pregnant. Call me crazy, but if you look at it, it makes perfect sense for Sansa’s story. Here is why:

1. Producing an heir has always been apart of her storyline.

From literally the first or second episode of the series you have Sansa say that she wants to marry Joffrey and give him babies. You also have Sansa in different relationships not only for her name but for the purpose to produce heirs! Don’t even get me started on Cersei!!! All those character forming scenes that she had with Cersei about being a future queen, sex and motherhood. They dedicated a whole scene with Sansa getting her PERIOD!!! Her freaking period, with Sansa literally tearing into her bedsheet afraid of the burden of giving Joffrey a child. No one can tell me that those scenes aren’t important or relevant to where her character is going.( This is not to say that all Sansa is good for is to produce an heir for a king! She’s way way way more than that and has proven herself to be brilliant, compassionate and independent! I just think pregnancy is apart of her story.)

2. It’s unexpected for both Sansa and the audience.

Another reason why I think Sansa might get pregnant is because it’s unexpected. Sansa finding love with Jon will be totally unexpected to her. Her getting pregnant will be the icing on top of the cake. Yes, love and children are things that deep down Sansa wants but is that her focus right now? No. Is Sansa wounded, disillusioned by her childhood dreams and probably thinks it doesn’t exist. Yes. Would it be full circle and ironic AF for Sansa to not only get love, but to also have a child after the most tragic events and quite frankly not even wanting/believing she could have those things anymore? Absolutely!!! This would also be something the audience would not expect AT ALL!!

Like I said I’m just speculating here,but for anyone on the show to get pregnant and for it to narratively make sense, the only person I can see it being is Sansa.

Jonsa is endgame ramblings

I am very tired, so I don't know how much sense this will make.

But something that helps convince me Jonsa is endgame (which doesn't negate Jon and Danielle falling in love/developing feelings for each other) is the really big deal the show made of the R+L=J parentage reveal, going so far as to intercut it with the Jon/Danielle bo@tbang.

As frustrated as I am with D&D, I do think this pretty heavily foreshadows conflict between Jon and Danielle. I think Jon will be upset about 1) his identity crisis and 2) the fact that he slept with his aunt. Danielle might have a mini identity crisis (she's not the last Targaryen). It could be positive for her. She's less alone in the word. But it will be immediately undercut by the threat Jon poses to her claim to the Iron Throne.

I see this resolving two ways. Jon and Danielle could be so in love that their feelings for each other surpass any Iron Throne rivalry. Jon might even voluntarily renounce his claim to the Iron Throne.

This all sounds a little too peaceful and conflict-free for Game of Thrones (though the train wreck that was Season 7 leaves me unsettled as to where the show's going and what its gestalt is now). I'm not sure it makes for shocking television.

The other way this could resolve is Jon's parentage reveal throws him into a crisis that draws him closer to his Stark heritage. Also, Sansa is now his cousin, not his aunt (a more acceptable pairing in the Game of Thrones universe). I understand avunculate marriages exist in the Stark line, but I believe they're less common than cousin marriagess. And a marriage to Sansa would strengthen Jon's ties to the North, which will be weakened after his parentage reveal. So then we're left with a love triangle, or at least a political alliance triangle, between Jon and Danielle and Sansa. Which makes for more conflict. Which makes for arguably more exciting, shocking TV. And in either situation here I think Jon chooses Sansa. Either for love (my preference), political advantage, or a combination of the two (most likely).

Anyway I don't know which way they'll go. But my money's on the latter scenario, which, by the way, doesn't require undercover Jon.

S08 speculation

Expect a lot of these over the next 1-2 years.......

There was a lot of mention of D being barren this last season. I have a full grasp on the reality that is the lower quality of the show this season possibly going into next. So this could very well be foreshadowing. Of augh, gods forbid, magical targ baby. 😧

Ok I'm going to go deep into the trash can here guys......

So obviously the fact D can't have kids will be a huge part of the plot next season. Either she gets preggo. OR once we all find out about jon being the last targaryan, we deal with the fact that he is still able to have heirs. Since D's entire claim is based on her birthright. She will have to see Jon as either the rightful king or at the least her heir. Even if they are in love, and she can't have kids he will have to merry and have kids with someone else. And once the north finds out he's a really a targ. I think he will have to merry a northerner in order to keep his army and kingdom. And guess who is single, loved and respected by the people, and the current HBIC back in winterfell?

And that is how ma girl will end up volunteering to merry Jon to keep the north together in order to prepare them to fight the ww. Instead of wasting time arguing about politics. I also see Jamie being the one to suggest this radical idea.
