so I heard people liked Darkfurnus Joo-Joo

Alt versions as well + the base design that got covered up by the fire

I guess design notes:

Joo-Joo if translated into Chinese would be 朱朱, which means Red/Crimson, so his fire is red combined with teal instead of pure green. I do like the original gold colour he had before being ghouled so he keeps that too

Around his eyes he also gets red markings similar to the black stripes Dark Slinger Junjie has to match him

Kudos if you got phoenix/goldfish vibes, that was unintentional but it worked bc I wanted to make him feel more elegant

Slug Fu side effect?

(It's been a long while... I have been very busy and kind of... unmotivated to write, but I feel like posting a dumb idea I just had!)

As you may know, Slug Fu is a technique that requires a slinger to have a deep bond with their arsenal, this is what ultimately, creates the mental bond that allows the master to command the slug.

But what if this connection ALSO works the other way around?

The slugs are connected to the slinger, but the slinger is also connected to their slugs.

So the slugs could also perfom Slug Fu on their slinger.

As pure and refined the technique may be in lore, I refuse to believe slug fu doesn't have consequences on the slinger.

It is a fun little side effect that Joo-Joo and every slug in the Eastern Caverns never told to anyone, but they are well aware that it is possible, and are able to perform it whenever they want.

This could lead to fun scenarios such as Joo-Joo on top of Junjie's head, slug fuing him while he is asleep in the middle of the night to get snacks at 3 AM.

Okay, one of my favorite bits of information from the Slugterra Fandom Wiki,

Is that in Joo-Joo's profile, in the Triva section, it's stated that Joo-Joo is, in fact, a boy, but is sometimes mistaken for a girl

And i do believe(i could we wrong)that is because before ROTE and the Slugidoes that included him, Fans assumed the Infersus the Dark Slinger was using was a female.

Which was a fair assumption because we just saw the Dark Slinger, that he had an ghouled Infernus, and when the Goon was beat, and Junjie regained control of his body, GFB literally ended with no explanation of who Jun was other than the Goon saying he was piloting a protecter of the East.

Darkfurnus Joo-Joo

With how calm and experienced Joo-Joo is, I imagine being ghouled would have made him more withdrawn and serious, but also self aware that his slinger was being puppeteered by one of his own kind.

In general I feel like the red veins on the Darkfurnus' velocimorph should be integrated more into its protoform design, the red stripes are there to differentiate him from Burpy + I kept the sharp pattern on his head that made him stand out
