It’s easy to say you’ll try something new, but do you? I used to visit the same areas around town and admittedly didn’t explore too many of Singapore’s neighborhoods. I’d say “Oh I’ll try it next time.” but drift back to familiar favorites. At the same time, I like what I like though right so why try too many new things? This pandemic has really made more of us #explorelocal as we navigated different stages of lockdown. I’m really happy to have discovered #joochiat (actually I visited once but forgot about it!) It’s such a lovely area full of diverse cuisines and gorgeous #shophouses I tried my first authentic Yugoslavian food here as well at Katong V mall (pastrmajlija - lovely semi-puffy bread with sausage!) There is almost certainly something new to try in your city. You may be pleasantly surprised.
