announcement: the snowllab

This project began as a little shindig and has evolved into a full-blown Hoe-liday. @joopiterjoon​, @ot7always​, @ezralia-writes​, @jinpanman​, @chimoona​, @thatlongspringnight​, and @wwilloww​ have joined forces to bring you seven spicy, soft, and snowy stories for a holiday season of mistletoes and writing hoes.

6. If you’re really concentrating, how many words can you write in a day?

If I have the entire day to myself (and want to dedicate myself to writing), I think the most I’ve done is around 5k. That 5k took a LOT of hours, but also encompassed plotting time, since typically I don’t write everything out before I do it, and instead write and think it up as I go.

I want to say if I had everything bullet-pointed out, I could do more than that (maybe up to 7k?), but it also isn’t really sustainable regularly, for me at least.

What’s more common for me, if I’m focusing on a day where I’m dedicating the time I typically would towards writing (usually about 2-3 hours per night max; less if I reach my goal in less time and don’t feel like continuing), if I’m passionate I can write around 3k. 

I want to emphasize though that there’s literally no way I could write that much on a typical day, I either need to be REALLY, REALLY excited, or set aside basically an entire day.

me just being mad on the seokjin agenda like I recently posted a JJK story and it did SO WELL and I was like, woah, is this the story or the power of the maknae line? Ans so I’m squealing and crying my way through Crystallized and was like “huh, I wonder how MOAM (or u know any of ur other lejindary pieces) compares to Jordan’s new JJK drabbles”. Needless to say, I am MAD that ppl still be sleeping on Seokjin. HE DESERVES MORE NOTES. ALL THE NOTES

UR JIN STORIES DESERVE MORE NOTES IN GENERAL. Your Maknae stories should be like a gateway drug to your fantastic hyung line fics cmon now. Is this becoming the Floralseokjin agenda too? Probably.

bless you, thank you! i think a lot of writers on here will agree maknae line fics definitely do better than hyung line fics but that’s ok! i’m lucky enough to get a lot of support and love on my jin fics and that means a lot. i try not to get hung up on notes these days. of course sometimes it can be hard not to, but there’s lots of factors when it comes to low notes... i think these days liking something on tumblr is just as unpopular as reblogging haha

I know most of us would be mortified if he knew but sometimes I wish Hobi knows he's got a whole gang of thirsting hard stans out there because he deserves it.

He has to know, how could he not? He is on Twitter all the time, he runs around not wearing shirts to the airport, he does that goddamn Baepsae hip-thrust, he shouts “I’m Jay!!!” at every concert... he must know. I hope he knows how much we appreciate his sexy self.

To be honest, I’m hoping it’s not a let down for anyone. I’m happy with it, but with how many mails and comments I get about the story and how long it’s been since I did an update, I don’t want to hype it up like it’s gonna blow anyone’s mind.

At its core, Éffleurer is just a smutty office romance and I am the same writer with the same weaknesses as before, minus whatever growth I’ve managed to accomplish in the past year. But I promised myself I would complete the series this year, so here we go.
