"SHE WAS IN FRONT OF HER HOUSE...AND WAS SHOT." - JPD (64804) -- Joplin Police Department release an update to our exclusive LIVE! report from Wednesday night regarding a female with a gushot wound. "We responded to 1729 South Picher for a shooting. The female victim, Kendra Williams, 29, of that address, said she was in front of her house and heard a loud bang and was shot," according to the JPD. "She was transported to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries." POLICE MANEUVER CLOAKED IN DARKNESS ~Royal Heights tipsters were alert ~Two people brought into custody (64801) — 2504 Salem St is where Joplin News First tipsters let us know tonight about Joplin Police Department activity in Royal Heights. “We heard a loud noise, like flash bombs, when [it all] started,” one anonymous tipster tells Joplin News First. “We are so glad our neighborhood is getting cleaned up!” In the quiet darkness Joplin News First observed what JPD confirmed a few hours later, that a warrant was served to the above address. Two people: a male and a female were arrested in tonight’s maneuver. No names are being released or charges are being stated at this late hour. (64801) — While on the scene at the Oakland Plaza Fire, North Rangeline and Zora, Joplin Fire Department was were alerted to a reported kitchen fire at Wendy’s, 7th and Maiden Lane. JFD responded within minutes and no visible flames but smoke was observed. Photog Gregg captured this footage. It was thought to be a grease fire.
