- At first, they didn’t like each other much in middle school. They grew closer when they started to smoke together under the bleachers. Hop found Joyce there one day, they each started arguing it was their spot, and finally ended up smoking together for the remaining of HS.

- They slept together for the first time quickly after their first kiss. The day after maybe ?

- Joyce broke up with Hop because she was growing too attached and it scared her.

- Hop was invited to Joyce wedding but didn’t come.

- Despite Lonnie and Diane, Joyce and Hop still cared for each other and had regrets.

- Joyce called the police multiple times when Lonnie was drunk and violent, and seeing Joyce take Lonnie back everytime killed Hop.

- Joyce loved Bob but wasn’t in love with him.
