Guys I did some research and tried to find more videos that would be funny and stand out and this caught my eye. This video has only 3 people in it even though we are a group of 4, but we can make this more abstract perhaps and bring objects to life for an idea maybe? I think we can perform this very well if we bring in the right energy and play the comedy but not too much.
What do you think?

I found this and I think it would be really good to explore with because even though there are more characters than we have actors they aren't all in the same shot so we could multi role play or something
The Transporter: Moments of quality
Before going to see the show i had the understanding that it was a production that would take its audiences through different genres of music through many different era's, but thats about all i knew about the show. Going in the first thing i noticed was the atmosphere in the room. The way the whole place was set up had a 50's bar feel to it in my opinion. The dimly lit room with candles and laid out tables had a musky dark feel to it.
Having the two stages worked in good and bad ways in my opinion, the bad way is that as an audience member constantly turning your neck was rather frustrating and would have frustrated people because of the length of the show. However it was good in the way that we could clearly define the acoustic music from the more group music.
The overall production had a wide variety of music genre and a wide ranged set in terms of when the music was made, this was key as the production had to follow the transporter as its idea, not just performing music.
I felt there were some really strong moments during the piece for instance Blur's 'Parklife' was a song that got the audience involved as well as being a really exciting performance, also the reggae set was a lot more vibrant than some of the other work and had a really good energy to it.
Some things that stood out for the wrong reasons were musicians talking to each other during performance and joking which whilst being innocent took an element of professionalism from what they were performing, also maybe a lack of confidence but there were times where songs need more movement and energy from performers to help the audience feel engaged, instead of just hearing the music.
I think the show maybe went on too long. But there was a nice feel to the whole thing and it was really eye catching production with some brilliant moments, some very recognisable songs as well as some emotion triggering ones. Overall, a good show.
Christmas Show Review - Like a child again
When i went to see the christmas show i had already heard a number of good things about the show which had led to me having high expectations for the show (and quite a bit of excitement). I went to see the show with two of my younger cousins who were equally as excited as me in all honesty!
As soon as we entered the stage you could see their smiles light up by the quite spectacular set which creates two worlds. Instantly my cousin pointed out the familiar face relaxing in the bath.
As the show got under way i kept checking my cousin's reactions to see how an impartial audience member who fits the target audience was feeling about the show and i have to say they were loving it.
From my own perspective i was intrigued to see a lot of the company who performed such a serious and quite emotional piece like 'Hanging On the Old Barbed Wire' perform a festive show for mainly children! Instantly there was huge energy which i think was vital to a piece like this, if there is a lack of energy from the actors in a show where there are a lot of children in the audience their attention will be placed elsewhere.
Throughout the piece the storyline stayed strong and clear (which again was vital for the target audience) and a lot of characters started to emerge. The characters that really stood out for me were Rhys Oliver's portrayal of Zack Jackson, the reason this performance stood out to me was purely because of the way Rhys took the stage, it was instantly apparant that this was a key character who could be the hero and he created a great relationship with the audience. Lon Payne showed some great reactions and did well to stay inside the piece when he didn't have dialogue as there were times when he could have lost his character but it stayed strong. I also thought Andie Coulson had great composure to play her role which is one that interacts with the audience so much that it was certain to provoke reactions. She did extremely well to keep her character in such a scenario as this.
One thing i loved about the show were the song's and dances. For me i usually find song and dance to be cheesy or un needed during a piece of theatre but in this piece i think the timing of song and dance was used well, and the energy inside each one was impressive.
My one criticism of the show would be that it was advertised as a christmas show, but it felt like it was more of a halloween show? This isn't something that bothered me but i feel as an audience member who had just seen it as a christmas show this might have misled them.
Overall i thoroughly enjoyed the show as did the people i brought with me, everyone left with a smile on their face and thats the best thing that a show can do for a child around christmas in my opinion.
