MLS round-up: Seattle put in stellar showing in win over LA Galaxy
#JordanMorris' second-half double lifted the Seattle Sounders to an impressive 4-2 Major League Soccer victory over the Los Angeles Galaxy at StubHub Center on Sunday.
Robbie #Keane had opened the scoring for the home team on 20 minutes but Jelle Van Damme's own goal restored parity 15 minutes later and the visitors surged ahead with three goals in 16 minutes shortly after the hour mark.
Morris surged through and clinically slotted the Sounders ahead on 63 minutes, and buried another shot with his left foot 11 minutes later. Osvaldo Alonso's stunning strike then put the game out of reach, after Nicolas Lodeiro's pass had deflected off the referee.
Keane reduced the deficit five minutes from time from the penalty spot, but Seattle were not to be denied as they kept alive their play-off hopes - and denied the Galaxy their post-season ticket.
Also on Sunday, Ola Kamara notched a goal towards the end of each half as Columbus Crew toppled the New England Revolution 2-0.
The Norwegian forward opened the scoring with a neat left-footed finish inside the near post three minutes before half-time and sealed matters through an 82nd-minute penalty after being fouled by London Woodberry.
