At the Institute for Geoinformatics at the University of Munster in Germany, for example, a group of researchers has been examining the relationships between consumers and digital displays – in particular context and adaptability. Screenmediamag.com caught up with Jorg Muller, PhD student and lecturer at the institute, to find out what progress has been made. The Institute's experiments are relatively straightforward. Muller currently uses two deployments – Mobidic, a network of 20 digital signs in Munster city centre, and iDisplays, an information system around the university itself (via It's tough to attract audience attention, scientists say)
