Diane Warren remains a force to be reckoned with as we've seen from our discussion about the credity she achieved in her lengthy career, though her collaborations have a certain symbolic value. What I'm trying to say here – you've become an important musician, if she agrees to work with you. True, Gloria Estefan, for instance, probably didn't need her by the time of Destiny, yet she called her anyway. Then again, the album does have a feel of a highly expensive vacation at a resort. Sure, Mrs. Estefan continues to do her best – she rarely takes anything for granted –, but there are many better LPs in her opus. Destiny is not bad, though, but one wishes she would look beyond the 90's of the entire enterprise, if you know what I mean.
