Thus the outer mind of the soul and the intuitional side of the soul dwelt together after that in separate human forms in the Garden of Eden, or in their purified soul consciousness, and they were naked and unashamed; for they were pure and “knew” not each other as yet in their bodies, their consciousness still being largely centered in the Soul realm.

The awakening of Christ Love in the heart is outpictured as the birth of the Babe Jesus in the manger, where the animals feed—or the birth of the Christ in the purified animal nature.

This birth is often called by illumined ones the First Baptism, or the baptism of the soul by the Holy Spirit, or Our Father’s Divine Love. But Love at first is like a babe; while It changes the life of those to whom It comes, yet at first It is feeble and must be wisely and carefully nourished, so that It will grow in strength and understanding. At the age of twelve the first evidence of Its true nature is shown by Jesus, when He sought and entered the Temple without the knowledge of His parents, and there sat with the Teachers, both listening to their teaching and asking them questions, amazing them with His deep understanding.

So at this symbolical age of twelve will I, as Love in the reborn soul, show forth My Christ Presence in the consciousness as knowledge and understanding that will confound the wise of the world, even those claiming to be My Christ Ministers.

But this good cannot come to you until you want it more than anything else in life, which means when you are eager to do everything necessary to let it come—and will keep your mind clean and free of all thoughts that are not God's intended thoughts for you; for your Higher Self is God in you and He can work and express Himself only through a mind channel made clean and perfect for His use.

This of course means all thoughts of a negative nature about being poor, or sick, or weak, or discouraged, or lacking in anything; for such are untrue of God and likewise of a Son of God, who knows that all that the Father has is His.

We know how appearances hinder and flaunt themselves before you, making it so hard for you to believe or do what we have stated. But obstacles are given you to overcome, in order to enable you to develop and use your Spiritual power.

Such watching and studying of your mind and its thought processes is one of the most important practices in which you can engage, for you soon will begin to realize your power to control and direct your thinking, and that thereby you are learning to be master of your fate. With this realization will come a new consciousness in which you will gradually be able to abide and from which you will more, and more think, speak and work.

How will that consciousness begin to manifest itself? By what some call "hunches." You will have leadings, strong urges from within, that will claim your attention and which if heeded will always bring satisfying and happy results, but which if unheeded will end in sorry mistakes and often trouble.

Everyone receives such hunches. In other words everyone has guidance, but very few heed and profit by it. There is not one who reads these words that cannot recall many instances of definite leadings which brought real inward satisfaction because of obeying what he was impelled to do. And many have noted that they receive guidance even in little things, in matters seemingly unimportant at the time but which nevertheless serve to impress the mind with the fact that Something Within knows what is best, aye, sees ahead and knows the good which awaits and is eager to lead them to that good.

In all of Jesus' teachings there is noticeable the insistence of that mystic unity of the Father and the Son: "I am in the Father and the Father is in Me." And that for which the Father sent Him was solely to show all men the way back unto the Father, and at the same time that He, Christ Jesus, might be in each of us the way, the truth and the life, preparing us for the day when He might lead us into knowing the Father even as He knew Him. "At that day ye shall know that I am in the Father, and ye in Me, and I in you."

We have shown you in previous articles that only through Love can you come to know Christ Jesus, our Blessed Lord and Master; and we now say that He is the actual expression, the perfect manifestation of the Father's Love in Man. He veritably is the God-Seed planted by the Father in humanity, and is the Light which dwelleth in the darkness. But that Light—God's Love—must be lit in your heart, before you can see and know Christ Jesus there. With the lighting of that Light, then He within you leads you unto the Father, and in time you truly know that He is in the Father, and you are in Him, and He is in you.

From this you must realize that there is a deep mystical meaning of His being in the Father, of we being in Him, and He in us, and we will try to help you get a glimpse of that meaning. The fullness of knowing can only be gained—note this carefully—by going within where He is, where we may know our oneness with Him, and with the Father. And that each one must learn to do for himself.

Let us give you a word of caution. Do not be surprised or dismayed if the false value and power money now possesses is altogether taken from it in the near future, and that possibly money will become worthless. For if the Kingdom is to come down and be on earth and money is not needed in the Kingdom, the destroying of money’s power will be a clear sign of the near approach of that great Coming. And remember, all of the old order—everything built for selfish ends or even to maintain the system of competition of individuals against individuals, industries against industries, countries against countries; which means practically all our institutions, commercial, industrial, financial, educational and even religious—must go, and will utterly vanish from our midst, before the Kingdom can be established here and we be a part of it. – Paper No. 44 (Prove Me Now, Saith The Lord) by Anonymous (JSB)
