It's 1 am and I just had an epiphany about byler. We all know the scene where el kisses Mike and he has his eyes open and don't kiss her back looking confused.
Well it just hit me that it reminds me of when in Waterloo Road josh and Lauren kiss and he also has his eyes open staring at finn.
For those who haven't watched Waterloo Road josh has a crush on finn and kisses him in the next episode. Its probably nothing since it's a niche reference but I thought it was interesting.
Okay but despite everything i still can’t stop thinking about these two fools 🫶🫶
Shame that Waterloo Road Reunited never got a second season featuring the Series 5-6 cast (Josh, Finn, Lauren, Jess, Harry, Vicki, Ronan, etc.)
Considering that THIS is what Harry would've canonically looked like in 2014, imagine Josh and Finn meeting him again in that year and seeing that he received the biggest glow-up in existence. I think Josh would've deeply regretted bullying him lol.
I’ve watched way too many edits on tiktok in the last 3 hours but ships like Josh x Finn from Waterloo Road and Cory x Naveed from Ackley Bridger just hit different (and painfully)
Just finished Series 7 Episode 27 in my Waterloo Road first time watch 🥺👏
This ep has solidified how much I love Tom and Josh as characters and their bond! 👏 Maybe I just love the entire Tom Clarkson extended family? 😂
Tom and Josh have been two of my favourite characters so far in the show's run, so to watch an episode centered around Josh's schizophrenia was heartbreaking to watch. Tom's relationships with the various kids that he has fostered (don't make me talk about the Kellys again! 😍) have been so well crafted, and for him to watch his own son going through something so traumatic, and lashing out at him? The angst? I can't even. The scene when Tom is leading him into the ambulance broke me.💔
(Honourable mention to the Janeece storyline - we don't deserve her. She's wonderful. The scene when she learned about what Craig did was so awful to watch 💔 Her friendship with Chalky is so lovely, and the bittersweetness of the reception hit hard 🥺)
My favourite detail about Waterloo Road is that Josh has, for some reason, a cross body bag whose handle is exactly the trans flag, and the costume department kept track of it between seasons and the move to Scotland, for consistency
Josh Stevenson 🤌
