Packing
[Henry]
Henry had started to pack and knew he would double check everything with Josh before they would go to school. He headed over to Josh’s with his backpack in tow and knocked on the door.
[Josh]
Josh opened the door before smiling, “Hey, I was just finishing up packing. Did your siblings already leave for school?”
[Henry]
“Yeah they left yesterday actually. Are you excited? We will get a room together this year.” He says with a smile. “We get our own rooms and I know I can bring the mini fridge and microwave stuff.”
[Josh]
“Oh that’s great.” He smiled before walking back inside and leaving the door open to let Henry follow inside. “We don’t know if we will be roommates this year.”
[Henry]
“I am sure they will be close together though.” He tells him as he follows the other inside. “Still I think it will be nice to have privacy again.”
[Josh]
“Yeah, I hope so.” He smiled as he walked into his room to finish packing. “I bet you are happy your siblings won’t be there.”
[Henry]
“It would be nice to not be interrupted every two seconds with another scream in the house.
[Josh]
“You think they are fighting that badly? I bet they are making up as we speak.” He smiled as he started putting his clothes in the suitcase.
[Henry]
“They were yelling at each other and it can be just a lot sometimes. When we dorm most people are either out or busy studying.”
[Josh]
“That’s true. But I like having noise around sometimes.” He shrugged as picked out some shoes and placed them in his suitcase. “Are your parents driving us?”
[Henry]
“There are better noises to have around you know.” He winked teasingly. “My grandpa will drive us because he is trying to distract himself from the fact my grandma is getting fitted for her dream wedding dress and he can’t be there.”
[Josh]
“You say that now, but you are going to miss them.” He joked before nodding. “Oh cool, that makes sense he can’t be there when she is….wait. You said grandpa. The king? The king is driving us to school?”
[Henry]
“Yeah, is there a problem with that?” He asks, noticing that Josh seemed to look like a deer in the headlights as he heard the car pulling up.
[Josh]
“Why…you don’t see why I would be freaking out about the person who donates the most money driving us to school? And my parents are here, they are going to…” He stopped as he heard his parents already opening the door. “Well great.”
[Henry]
“He has a meeting with the principal anyway about funds for this coming year. It will be fine. He isn’t even dressed up that much, just a suit and tie really. Well let’s go past them before they get a chance to figure out who it is.” He tells him before grabbing his hand and pulling them past his parents.
[Josh]
“Just a suit? That doesn’t sound dressed up to you? And what are they blind? They know what the king looks like, Henry.” He said as he finished packing. He grabbed his bag and stopped Henry. “I have to say goodbye to my parents.” He said before going over to them and hugging them..
[Henry]
“No? I mean he isn’t in royal robes and stuff so not really. That is pretty casual for him.” He says with a shrug before watching Josh say goodbye to his parents and then heading to the car.
[Josh]
Josh promised to call before putting his things in the trunk of the car and then getting inside. He smiled as he looked at Nibs and waved. “Hi Mr. Robinson. Thanks for driving me.”
[Henry]
He put his things in the back as well before getting into the car. “Hi grandpa.”
[nibs]
Nibs saw the kids getting into the car and he smiled back. “Hey Josh and Henry. I hope it’s okay that I take you to school. I have a meeting with the principal anyway so I figured I could drop you guys off as well.”
[Josh]
“I mean it’s really cool…just…you know a lot to process I guess. No offense.” He said as he slid on his seatbelt. “Congratulations on your wedding. That seems really exciting.”
[nibs]
“Well thank you. We didn’t get to really have a proper one before and I know she has always wanted a dream wedding so I figured now was the perfect time to do that.”
[Josh]
“Oh wow, how romantic.” He smiles. “That is really sweet, no wonder she went on a trip to get the dress of her dreams.” He joked as he looked at Henry.
[henry]
Henry looked over at Josh before taking his hand in his and smiling. “He says that she used to have scrapbooks of things she wanted at her dream wedding that they made when they were friends.”
[Josh]
“Really?” He asked as he looked at Nibs. “I honestly don’t care about my wedding. A spontaneous wedding seems fun though, but I guess if I had wanted something I planned thoroughly I would be sad if it didn’t happen.”
[nibs]
Nibs nodded his head. “That was why I wanted it to be a surprise for her once we retire from being king and queen…hopefully. But are you kids excited about going back to school? It’s your final year right?”
[Josh]
“Yep, then college, maybe.” He shrugged. “Still talking things over with my parents. I know I will start working in the library a lot more.”
[Nibs]
“Is that something you want to do? Working in the library? Or are you only doing it because your parents want you to take over the business type of thing.”
[Josh]
“Oh no, I love it. I mean maybe when I was younger the idea of staying there wasn’t fun. But now, I can’t really imagine doing anything else. And I want my parents to be able to rest as well. They have a bucket list of things they want to do and I want them to do them.”
[Nibs]
“Well that’s nice of you. I think it’s good that you want to take over the family business. I know that Henry would visit there a lot in hopes of seeing you there. Isn’t that right?”
[Henry]
He heard his grandpa’s words and just blushed. “You aren’t supposed to say that though…that was before we were together obviously but still…”
[Josh]
“You know I knew that right?” He asked before laughing. “You wouldn’t even read the books correctly. And you would always ask me for recommendations, and I'm pretty sure you never actually listened. Just were staring at my lips.”
[Henry]
“You did? I mean I knew I was obvious but wow…yeah I can see now what you mean if I think back on it.” He laughed slightly. “It’s not my fault I have such a vivid imagination. Blame my grandfather.”
[Josh]
“You are really bad at subtly.” He teased before hearing his words. “Blame your grandfather? Why would I do that?”
[Henry]
“He used to be a lost boy with magic all the time and so they were very creative and could basically wish anything into existence which now that I think about it maybe I did wish you into liking me because of that.” He jokes.
[Josh]
“Wait so your grandfather, wished that Misty would like him? What if she didn’t? I don’t even understand how that would work…”
[Henry]
“No, I am making a joke Josh. He can wish what he wants into existence like a car or physical things you know? I was just joking that I was able to wish you to be my boyfriend but that isn’t something that magic can actually do.” He jokes.
[Josh]
“Ohhh okay.” He nods. “Well I don’t know. You guys have weird powers. You probably can do it and now are lying to me.” He smiled before looking at Henry. “You know, based on the way royals are, I’m surprised that none of you tried keeping it in the family. So you don’t have to share those powers.”
[Henry]
“There are so many studies about why inbreeding is wrong, you know. That is very I guess my grandparents are so selective of who we are all with. Most of it isn’t up to us, it’s determined by fate with the whole imprint thing.” He tells him. “Plus I think a lot of complications would come from that too.”
[Josh]
“True but that has never stopped anyone before. Keeps things…pure I guess. But I guess I’m happy that you aren’t into your brother or sister.” He joked.
[Henry]
“Yeah I am glad too. I know everyone thinks my family is hot but I just don’t see it.” He shrugged as Nibs parked the car for them.
[Nibs]
“Did you boys need help bringing things up?”
[Josh]
“Your brother and sister are hot, sorry…” He laughed. “But they would look kinda cute together. If they weren’t related I guess.” He joked before seeing the car parking. “No, thank you though.”
[Henry]
“Don’t jinx it Josh.” He tells him with a small laugh. It wouldn’t be the first time.” He teases without thinking.
[Nibs]
“Alright well you kids have fun I am going to go and park the car.” He tells them before waiting for them to get their stuff and then driving off to find parking.
[Josh]
“Oh I knew it. It’s Tommy and Ellie isn’t it? I knew it. Royals twins don’t go missing, especially when they are attractive. They are dating.”
[Henry]
“Uh..yeah how did you…oh. I mean…yeah they are. I think my parents would lose their shit if Emmett and Hallie were fucking each other.” He tells him before picking up his backpack.
[Josh]
“They are never together when other people are around which is weird because they are twins.”
[Henry]
“I mean they were there when you met them at the castle. They didn’t seem that weird did they?” He asks as he looks at him. “Siblings fight all the time and it’s not like they are always gone. They just go to a different school at the time and now most of our family goes to that school anyway.”
[Nibs]
Nibs parked the car before coming back over to the boys and walking them into the school to check them both in for the year. He was given their keys to their dorms and welcome packets which he handed to both of the boys.
[Josh]
“No no, it’s very obvious. You know the signs. It’s hard to explain. I read a lot of books.” Josh says as they stand waiting for Nibs to get back. “I don’t think it’s weird. It’s normal…for royals.”
[Henry]
“Oh..then I don’t get why everyone was freaking out about it then.” He shrugged as he followed inside.
[Josh]
“Well because it hasn’t happened here in a long time. People aren’t used to it anymore.” He said before thanking him as he took the key to his dorm and his welcome packet.
[Henry]
“But they know it’s a thing. It might not be common but I am sure they taught it in schools.” He shrugged before taking his packet as they made their way to their dorms after thanking Nibs.
[Josh]
Josh looked at his welcome packet and smiled, “Oh the book club is meeting tonight for sign ups. Oh and the science club…but it’s at the same time…which one am I supposed to pick?”
[Henry]
“I mean you can just sign both and see which one you enjoy more?” He offers up. “I think I might want to join the theater…I think I would want to join the book club though since I know I like to read books a lot more.” He tells him as they walk through the hall to their room.
[Josh]
“But I can’t go to both meetings at the same time.” He frowned as he walked with him before stopping at his door. “This is my room.”
[Henry]
“I could go to the bookclub one and take notes for you too and then you can go to the science one and see what is there.” He offered up as they stopped. Henry checked his number before smiling, “Mine is right next to yours.”
[Josh]
“Oh that would be so sweet.” He said before looking at Henry’s door. “We’ll look at that. Aren’t we lucky.” He teased before opening his door.
[Henry]
“Mhm I guess this means we will have to make sure we do school work. Then again that makes it easier for when we want to study.” He smiles.
[Josh]
“Studying will be a lot more fun with you here.” He said before kissing Henry. “I will see you at dinner?” He asked teasingly. “I heard they are starting to serve more luxurious meals now that more royals are here.”
[Henry] “Well obviously, otherwise studying would be boring.” He teases. “Yeah I think my whole family went here? But the perks of being royals right?” The male smiled as he kissed him. “You sure you don’t need help unpacking?”
[Josh]
“Now it’s just you, imagine all the people that will start following you around now that Emmett and Hallie are gone.” He joked before smiling as he shook his head. “No, I want to surprise you later.” He teases. “Please don’t forget the notes. I want to know what books we are reading this year.”
[Henry]
“I hope they don’t. You know I don’t like having that kind of attention on me.” He scrunched up his nose. “I will take notes for you, don't worry. We can review them later tonight.” Henry smiles before giving Josh a small kiss.
[Josh]
“But now you are the hot Winter son, not Emmett. All the boys and girls will want you.” He teased before kissing him back. “Okay I will see you tonight.” He teased against his lips before kissing him again and heading into his room.
[Henry]
“I mean he is still the hot one he just doesn’t go here anymore.” He tells him with a smirk. The male kisses him again and then heads to his room to unpack as well.
