#Repost @grazza5 with @get_repost ・・・ In August '18 there was a brutal heatwave here in LA. Through the sweltering broil, I wrote a song called "Snow Day, Hooray!" For a few minutes, focusing my thoughts on winter successfully fooled my senses into ignoring the relentless heat. Soon, the trick stopped working and my wimpy window A/C unit offered little to no relief. The heat was so severe that I started sipping cold beer to stay cool and then cranked this baby out. Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: De film brengt een opwindende trailer

Netflix heeft een officiële trailer vrijgegeven voor Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie, de aankomende animatiefilm gebaseerd op de 2018-2020 Nickelodeon tekenfilm. De trailer voor Rise of the TMNT: The Movie herintroduceert fans aan de versies van Leonardo (Ben Schwartz), Raphael (Omar Benson Miller), Michelangelo (Brandon Mychal Smith) en Donatello (Josh Brener) die voor het eerst verschenen in Nickelodeon's Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  In de film spelen Kat Graham en Eric Bauza opnieuw hun rol als respectievelijk April O'Neil en Master Splinter, terwijl nieuwkomer Haley Joel Osment de klassieke TMNT-personage Casey Jones vertolkt. Geregisseerd door Ant Ward en Andy Suriano naar een script van Tony Gama-Lobo en Rebecca May, Rise of the TMNT: The Movie staat gepland om op vrijdag 5 aug. in première te gaan op Netflix. De film wordt geproduceerd door Nickelodeon Movies en Nickelodeon Animation Studio. "De tiener schildpadden en hun mystieke ninja krachten worden op de ultieme proef gesteld wanneer meedogenloze wezens uit een ander universum er op uit zijn om extreme chaos te ontketenen," zo luidt een officiële synopsis. Van Nickelodeon naar Netflix Een van de verschillende incarnaties van de Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles-franchise om door de jaren heen op schermen te komen, Rise of the TMNT ging oorspronkelijk in juli 2018 in première op Nickelodeon. De Annie Award-winnende serie liep voor een totaal van twee seizoenen, eindigend in augustus 2020. De show heeft ook geleid tot een tie-in comic book serie van IDW Publishing. IDW's Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles liep voor zes nummers (#0-#5) van juli 2018 tot februari 2019. Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Sound Off! liep vervolgens voor drie nummers van juli 2019 tot september 2019. Natuurlijk is Rise of the TMNT niet de enige originele Nickelodeon-serie die een Netflix-exclusieve speelfilm krijgt. Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus komt in augustus 2019 op Netflix, met The Loud House Movie dat in augustus 2021 volgt. Hoewel het geen speelfilm is, ging de televisiespecial Rocko's Modern Life: Static Cling ging ook exclusief in première op Netflix in 2019, dezelfde maand als Enter the Florpus.
