Hmm... You would probably do this by hanging a victory over his head. Depending on the level of guilt tripping you would have to remind him of a real falure that he acheived, like someone dying on his mountain for example.

The guy really loves having a bunch of friends over to be dorks with, if he's got any way of making him melt would be like... making him have fun with his friends? Like the perfect evening with some cuddles maybe.
