ty for the question, anon!! sun isn't aware but it was a request put in by moon who still acts as night security and likely has some sway over where employees are/n't around the plex (probably citing random reasonings like conflicted interests and whatever boloney) he specifically had Starbright (y/n) put into DJMM's section so he could indirectly keep an eye over them (selfishly mind you) moon lies to sun's face over what occurred with y/n every day and sun knows he's lying but isn't sure what to do about it bc moon is moon it all comes from a "we do not want to be hurt by the inevitable" and the ever-favorite "we do not want to inevitably hurt you" so in short, yes they care, yes sun asks, moon wont tell and would rather keep you a dirty secret for him to go to the scrapyard with /j
