Sometimes I really hate my work, and other times I get all happy because that creel basket came out exactly how I wanted it to!
Mr. Fish is also brown now. He's so fancy.

I finally got a painting I did a few weeks ago back, so here are some pictures. Sorry they are in really poor lighting, but I haven't had the time yet to get some really nice scans. I also want to go back and refine a few things. This was a composition I did for my color and design class and the idea is this tree troll lures birds into its mouth to feed; maybe it uses it's lovely singing voice, or maybe it's actually a really fast moving tree? The second image is the set of color comps I did before starting the actual painting.
If there is one thing you all should know about me, it is my love for the book Cry of the Icemark, and especially a certain young Thirrin Freer Strong-In-The-Arm Lindenshield, Wildcat of the North. I realized I have never drawn her, so I decided to sit down and give some shape to this red-headed warrior who stole my heart when I was only 14 years old.
So I decided to try drawing Piper! I know my design doesn't exactly follow the book's description of her, but this is how I see her in my head and I like her this way. I also secretly like to think she is almost the same height as Jason and Percy and this intimidates Percy haha! Anyway, I am hoping to do more of the characters soon.
