Dear Business Partners,
Warm regards and hope you are well. I am made aware by different sources like news, social media etc, that the humanity is fighting hard with epidemic COVID-19 very brilliantly. I am sure like everyone else, you would agree that this is one of the biggest challenges humanity has ever faced. India is also in the list of countries hit with the outbreak but the situation is very much in control yet. Still, to prevent panic and spread, we have limited our operations and some delays might be there on production side. I could see people using it as an opportunity and monetizing it. On a positive note, we are a bunch of highly motivated humans, ready to help you. We have some stock of surgical grade masks which we use for our production. As a token of gratitude and support in tough times I would like to offer you some face masks free of charge for you, your team and your family. We hope we might be able to help humanity in a positive way during all this chaos. I am sure you will join this journey to fight this 0.125 micron sized monster.
Thank you very much With Regards P M Agrawal Director #TeamJPPL

A Human’s responsibility is to get rid of plastic pollution, Not plastic.
Plastic films are greatly involved with our life undeniably and without which we cannot envision a normal life at present. Plastic films are always working on making our life tranquil, comfortable and convenient in numerous ways.
Plastic pollution may cause problems in the environment but plastic films are never the key reason for the pollution. Rather plastic films are more helpful than paper or any other alternate materials. It is not plastic which should be reduced, it is plastic pollution that should be stopped.
Reduce plastic pollution not plastic
Plastic films are always serving us and giving us a hale and hearty life. Plastics are never harmful, it is the plastic pollution that causes detriment and the main reason for this pollution is human beings. Pollution is caused by everything like paper, cotton, clothes and other materials not only plastics. It is just the result of the irresponsibility and impudence of humans. People’s carelessness and misuse cause pollution. So, humans should be careful while using plastic films, instead of blaming plastics.
Why should we never get rid of plastic?
1. Environment friendly:
Plastic films are more environmentally friendly and welcoming, as production of plastic films emits less greenhouse gases. Whereas, production of paper emits 80% more greenhouse gases than plastics.
Paper, cotton and other materials take more room in landfills and don't exactly disintegrate rapidly. Paper bags take up nine times more room than plastic films and break down at about the same rate.
Plastic films make up less than one percent of visible litter, and just 0.5 percent of municipal waste.
Other materials that are claimed as safe creates micro plastic and harmful bacteria while degrading which are more deleterious than the plastic films. Plastics now are degrading much faster than other alternative materials.
Most of the alternate materials need trees or woods for production and as a result the forests are destroyed. But plastic films production don’t need it. Thus plastic films are protecting the environment.
2. Less Energy Usage:
The production of plastic films consumes less than 4% of the water needed to make other alternative materials.
It needs less energy and oil while production. Making a paper bag consumes four times as much energy as making a plastic film.
3. Costs:
Plastic films are lightweight, durable, take less room and save money while shipping and manufacturing.
It prevents food from contamination and bacteria, and thus avert from wastage of food and money.
Plastic films and bags cost less than the reusable alternate bags and are easily available in stores.
4. Prevention from contamination:
No other materials can keep food as safe as plastic films does. Plastic films are waterproof, durable and strong which always prevents all types of contamination, bacteria and microorganisms from entering the food. Plastic films are the only material on which we can truly trust in case of keeping food fresh.
5. Recycling:
It takes about 91% more energy to recycle a pound of any thick material like paper than recycling the plastics. In addition, recycling one ton of plastic films saves 1.5 tons of Carbon.
So, plastic films are more amiable than any other materials. With all these benefits and productiveness of plastic films, we just cannot afford getting rid of it.
How to get rid of plastic pollution?
1. Proper disposal of plastic is a huge responsibility of human beings. The main reason for the pollution is the recklessness of human beings while using and disposing of plastic films. Carefulness is the vital element to prevent plastic pollution.
2. We should dispose of the plastic waste at a specific place instead of throwing it here and there. Whether it is industrial wastes or household wastes, there should be a definite place to throw these and thus pollution can be circumvented to a huge extent.
3. The plastic waste should be collected from homes, industries and the specific throwing areas, and dispose in a proper way. There are many methods by which plastic wastes can be disposed without causing any harm to the environment and without any pollution.
4. The disposed plastic wastes can be recycled and reused again and again as plastic films don’t die for many years and are very durable. Recycling the plastic wastes will cut the new production costs, help in the economy and prevent pollution.
5. Lastly, the most crucial factor in case of getting rid of plastic pollution is education. With proper knowledge and information people can understand the importance of plastic films, realize the facts related to plastics, and ways to stop plastic pollution instead of accusing plastics. Education can turn the table and demonstrate the reality.
Plastic films are such a resource that we can use endlessly as it is not destroyed easily. So, getting rid of such valuable resources will not create any good impacts, instead it will cause more problems and issues on everyone’s regular life. Efforts on getting rid of plastic pollution will be much more productive than the efforts on getting rid of plastics.
Human beings should understand the facts rather than believing misleading and delusional reports. Judge the situation, realize the real responsibilities, and succor the earth and living beings!

The Term Plastic Pollution is Highly Ambiguous.
When we talk about the air/water/soil pollution, what we actually talk about is the media is being polluted. In each one of the cases, the victim of human activities is the medium itself. But in the case of plastics, the case is not the same. Everyone including the layman, the policymakers and the media treat as if the plastic has polluted the planet, while the real scenario is the plastic is manhandled by us to pollute the earth. Plastic is the victim… Not the culprit.
Plastic pollution is a very profound phrase. Majority of people are unfamiliar with the actual gist of Plastic pollution. People need to learn more and think more sincerely to understand the genuine meaning of the term ‘plastic pollution’.
Plastic pollution is the pollution that is caused by plastics, but the actual meaning does not end here. It has more intense meaning then we think. Plastic pollution is an affair which is not caused by plastic, but it is in fact a result of actions done by the human beings. People always contemplate plastic pollution as detrimental without considering the real idea of plastic pollution which is a very arguable issue.
How the term plastic pollution is uncertain and ambiguous?
1. Insignificant Blaming:
According to most of the people, it is the plastic films that are to accuse for plastic pollution, whereas human beings are the main cause of the pollution. Not only plastic, but all types of pollution are caused by humans and their irresponsibility. We learn and study about air pollution and water pollution, and always indict humans as the main reason of these pollutions. Then, why is it different in the case of plastic pollution? Why are we not targeting the main reason behind these?
2. Lack of accurate Knowledge:
As soon as we hear the term plastic pollution, we assume that plastics are causing chaos in the environment. It is due to the lack of knowledge and accuracy of our education. We only learn that plastic pollution is bad, but we don’t learn what actually plastic pollution is and the real causes behind it. Instead we learn to blame plastic films, thinking that plastics are bad. This idea about plastic is completely inappropriate and delusional.
3. Irrelevant Conclusions:
Plastic is not the main reason of plastic pollution, rather negligence is the main cause. This pollution originates mainly from household waste, industries, factories, and poorly recycled plastics, plastics dumped in landfills, lakes and rivers or abandoned in nature. These wastes are carried by the winds, washed by the rains into sewers, streams, rivers, and finally in the oceans. Natural disasters such as floods, storms may be considered as another cause of plastic pollution as well. None of these are caused by plastic films and bags. So why do we always point plastics as bad whenever we perceive the phrase plastic pollution?
4. Misperception:
Most of the times people misjudge thinking that plastic pollution means the pollution caused by plastic and plastic films are bad. Of course the pollution is caused by plastic, but plastic itself cannot pollute the environment and cannot create any hazardous situation. At this point, plastic films are more useful than any other materials. Pollution is always lead by the human being’s imprudence. So, this misperception on the whole subject of plastic pollution should be cleared as soon as possible.
How plastic films are more favorable?
1. Plastic films are sustainable. Plastic films can maintain a certain rate or level, quality or temperature.
2. Plastics are the most durable material than any other material. It does not rot easily and lasts for a really long time.
3. It is waterproof and don’t get damage in water easily.
4. Plastic films prevents any substance, food or other things from damage or contamination of bacteria.
5. Plastic films are very light and so easy to carry and use.
6. Plastic films cost less than any other reusable materials.
7. Plastics are more environment friendly as it produces less greenhouse gases, and uses less energy and natural resources.
8. All plastic can be recycled though it is not always technically or economically possible. Through recycling it can be used endlessly.
All these distinctive qualities of plastics make plastic different and more useful than any alternate materials. With the utilities and services that we are receiving from plastic films we just cannot blame plastic as the reason of the pollution. It is a very sad reality that for most of the people “plastic pollution” means “plastic is bad”. Human beings love to go with the flow blindly. Sometimes people gets too blind to see and understand the facts. As human beings we jump into conclusions way faster without analyzing the reality. Due to this, we never think about the deepness behind the term plastic pollution. We never try to resolve the problems and try to see the positive aspects. We must protect both environment and plastics for a bright and successful future.
Why are we blaming plastic films and bags instead of rectifying our mistakes? It is high time we changed our ideas and concepts about plastic pollution and take steps according to it.
