Ur so fast at drawing this stuff while I take years to even color a piece :O
this will be odd and maybe sorta gross? but for some reason i'll run my fingers across my back (mostly shoulder blade areas) and find a tiny bump and scratch until it comes up. it doesn't make me bleed, but a lot of times it will have hair attached (i said it was gross). the ball of skin is probably as big as a flea. there's no reason for why i do it. is this like Dermatillomania?should i talk to somebody about it? i'm kind of scared because i do this at least 15 times a day for 10 minutes.-jrek
Hi love,
Considering it's taking up so much of your time each day, I do think it's something that is worth speak to a doctor or medical professional about. It could fit under the diagnostic criteria for dermatillomania, I think, but even if it didn't it would probably be classed as not being functional for you, and therefore be something you should seek support for.
I don't think it's something you need to be scared about, but it is worth seeking support for to help minimise the time you spend doing it.
If you need more advice on how to speak to someone or who you should speak to, we have some advice on getting help here. A therapist or school/college counsellor might be able to help you out, but in your position I'd recommend making an appointment with your family doctor as a more direct route.
Love and hope,Emily
