Final Fantasy VII - Random Battle 48 

Random battle from Final Fantasy VII. Sector 7 is gone, as are Biggs, Wedge and Jessie, Aerith has been taken by Shinra. The trio of Barret, Cloud and Tifa head to Aerith's house in a hope that Marlene is there. Passing through the Sector 6 fallen ruins the trio are attacked by a pair of Hedgehog Pie's and a Whole Eater.

So here's a commission I had done by the brilliant @xiewaz of Maruki basically IMMEDIATELY after finishing P5R, it's a really beautiful ode to perhaps my favourite character of all time and you should definitely go check out their other work.

So I saw this character popularity poll conducted by Atlus Southeast Asia and this is why when I conquer Earth opinions will be a privilege not a right.

Like first of all, Joker shouldn't even be on the poll, secondly; Akechi beating out Ann, Yusuke, Morgana, Ryuji and HARU? Also no I don't have to defend my rage I've made it abundantly clear that Shuake shippers can go get Principal Kobayakawa'd.

This post is also me drafting all Ryuji Enjoyers into the war on Southeast Asia I guess.

Aight I feel the need to weigh in on P5X: It looks bad.

Okay but seriously it's a Chinese mobile game using like 90% of the original game's assets, side characters and, I'mma call it before it happens, story beats.

I thiiiiiink the original art team is back for this and while all the leaked Not-Thieves look pretty and all but their outfits and personas look like the type of shit you'd see in a shitty Chinese mobile game, so I guess they're on the right track.

Also I know that P5 is an anime and fairly adherent to a lot of tropes therein but I always thought it felt a lot more grounded. Like most of the characters looked pretty and all and sometimes had coloured hair but it usually made sense (Ryuji dyed his hair, Ann's is natural, Yusuke is an artist and hella gay etc.) but the Not-Thieves look VERY anime and it kinda makes me feel like they'll be written as such, and so far the type of people reacting positively to their designs has kinda vindicated me in that regard.

So all said: P5R is still the best Persona game, do not dispute this, and I will not be taking anything that happens in X as canon in relation to 5.

Final Fantasy IX - Random Battle 22

Random battle from Final Fantasy IX. After making it through the Ice Cavern and taking care of the Black Waltz and Sealion. Zidane, Garnet, Steiner and Vivi make it to a small plateau and the Village of Dali. In a forest area near Dali the quartet are attacked by a Carve Spider.

Final Fantasy VII - Random Battle 62

Random battle from Final Fantasy VII. Escaping the Shinra Headquarters and Midgar, Cloud, Tifa, Barret, Aerith and Red XIII head out into the world, first the mako drained lands around Midgar, this giving way the further you get away from Midgar. Still around the Kalm area we come across a species of monster specific to the area with a trio of Kalm Fang's to deal with.

Final Fantasy VIII Remastered - Random Battle 63

Random battle from Final Fantasy VIII Remastered. Following their meeting with Martine, Galbadia Garden's headmaster and learning of the execution of Seifer and the plan to assassinate Sorceress Edea. Reaching Deling City, Squall and co reach the mansion of their Galbadian military contact, before meeting him however they must undergo a trail, find the id number of a lost Garden Student at the Tomb of the Unknown King. Arriving at the Tomb and entering it's dark and damp passageways, Squall, Zell and Irvine are attacked by an Armadodo, a heavily armoured, armadillo like creature.
