I've to say this because otherwise I'll burst...
I didn't even think about watching The L Word Generation Q for too many reasons, but quarantine has ended up making me fall right into hell. So, now... Am I truly the only one remembering Jenny, considering that she was in fact the whole show?? Really? Okay... *spoilers ahead* Y’know, I was actually enjoying the season. It’s obviously not a work of art but it does its job to kill time. I agree that it has lost the original essence, nevertheless, it should be noted that they have adapted the series to current times and mix well the plot of the original characters through these years. They have also tried to "amend" their multiple sexist, racial, homophobic, etc mistakes that always have characterized - among other things, the show. (The period scene was so great as well as the normalization of body hair in women, diversity in sexual orientation, religion, etc.) I did say "awww" too in 1x04 when I saw Dana's sign and was saddened by Kit's death. But honestly... Does anyone plan to mention JENNY OR...? (cause I don’t think Bette’s one really counts) It’s just easier to pretend she has never existed, right? Even for Shane...? Who, despite being super pissed off and hurt by her on the last season, doesn't really have to make an effort to remember that Jenny was actually her best friend for almost the 6 seasons of it. And now suddenly nothing? Not a single fucking photo to remember her by...?? (She wasn't even on the group ones when they made that tribute to Shane, but ofc Tina and Dana were there) So... I guess that’s how it goes, huh? We can talk and mourn the death of a woman from overdose but not make a fucking mention of nostalgia for a "friend" who committed suicide (or not) because she had serious mental health problems...?? Not even for the tiny amount of her fans? ... Well then, the l word... I should have known that once again you would end up disappointing me. *bonus*
