Day 5: Favorite Relationship

Jassandra (romantic and platonic)

It’s not any surprise I picked these two cause they were the first ship I had in the show. Plus, Jacob didn’t punch the Hokolonte when it had Cassandra’s face. Which is why there was a bruise the size of her fist on his face. He hesitated.

It wasn’t until the Hokolonte took Ezekiel’s face did Jacob snap out of it. And maybe this means nothing and it didn’t matter what face the Hokolonte took, that it was just timing. But I believe that maybe it meant something more here. That punching Cassandra, even when it was just her appearance and not actually her, was something that made Jacob hesitate and show a bit of vulnerability here.

I’d also, like to point out that this does not affect my shipping of Jazekiel, cause they obviously have a different dynamic that Jacob would punch Ezekiel just like Ezekiel has no problem with retaliation in other painful ways.

And even then, Jassekiel is also a close choice, but ultimately, I had to go with my first ship. I just have a nostalgic fondness for Jassandra and I love all the small moments between them.

Especially their lack of personal space;)

Jacob Stone Appreciation Week 2/7

Day 2: Favorite Line or Scene

“Family ain’t easy” indeed... this is one of the best and most heartbreaking scenes of the series for me, for a number of reasons. After keeping his true self hidden for 20 years for the sake of family and “belonging” in a small town, the truth basically explodes out of Jacob... only for him to realize it’s not his dad. That tiny nod when he figures it out is the saddest thing to watch, as is his surrendering to the hug after a ‘wtf are you doing?’ moment - because he knows he’ll never get that hug out of the real Isaac, but damn, at least he can pretend for a second.

I would have liked to see the real Isaac’s reaction to the truth, and to get his ass kicked for being such a shitty human being and father, but ‘losing’ a son and his company by his own hand is quite the retribution in itself.

On a side note, kudos to Mark Roskin or whoever came up with that blocking / lightning, because it showcases the hell out of Christian’s eyes and makes the whole scene even more intense.

JSAW2018: Day 7 Favourite AU version

Hands down. I love “beige Jacob” too pieces. He is soooo cute, he is awkward, just a normal person living a normal boring life, but having this secret dream in his head.

I won’t even talk about the funny stages of character development until he was our Stone again (and rips his sleeves of XD), because that right there that version is just soooo dear to my heart. Like seriously I love him too pieces.

Day 1: Fav outfit. Hands down.

It’s insanely sad that we didn’t see more of his biceps. I mean, yeah I’m a bit shallow in this aspect, but the man has arms and they are dang good and should be seen more!

Day 2: Fav line or scene

Flynn: “How many other people are going to die because of me?”

Jacob: “No. The question is, how many more will be saved?”

but it’s SO important to me. Jacob wasn’t ready to give up, he couldn’t, and to see Flynn give up had to have been an emotional bomb. But Jacob didn’t agree or falter one second, he turned the tables on Flynn and said exactly what should have been said. Seriously, I discussed it more thoroughly in the link above, but I think that not only was this an emotional part of the show, but a critical point in the show as well for Flynn’s character. If Jacob didn’t give Flynn exactly what he needed to hear, they might not have made it. So I just really like the emotional impact that this scene gave and how it showed that perspective really can change everything.

Jacob Stone Appreciation Week 1/7

Day 1: Favorite Outfit

I was tempted to put the Image of Image because the club outfit was such an odd combo of styles, and yet, it worked on him + the blue henley at the beginning (seriously, how he manages to make them look so nice is a mystery) (but not really) (*makes Honest Trailer Guy voice* Peeeecs / Aaaarms).

Anyway.

I almost chose the first/second episode outfits because scarves, but this one is my favourite combo of clothes+colours (the one he wears at the end of City of Lights looks cool too, with added leather gloves, but it was so quick it was hard to make out enough details)

JSAW2018: Day 2 favourite line or scene

yet again soo sooo many (surprise!)

but those are my top 3:

because when he first helps Cassie it was not only the start of me shipping it, but a part that made me think omg what a sweetheart you’ll be one of my absolute favourites.

then remember how happy he was when he taught that class? For me that was amazing because normally it’s just “architecture is art we live in” and everyone is like “yes stone alright we know” and these kids were like “omg yes so true!” like my beybey getting positive feedback and bein looked up to was just so cute and heartwarmin.

and then this just broke my heart. I think it’s probably the most soft and vulnerable scene that we ever got to see Jacob in. And a lot of people have written about this, and a lot better than I could ever so I’m gonna stop right here.

I find that Jake has a lot of amazing funny lines and in scenes I always enjoy seeing what he’s up to in the background or when he’s the focus of the scene. With him it’s just a lot of little gestures that I love even more than his big moments in which he absolutely shines.

Day 6: Fav art/history geek moment

The first two that I absolutely loved were in The Crown of King Arthur. Jacobs very first geek moment with Lamia, where he was so anxious of “being caught” by his friends.

And whilst I love how he knew the painting that Flynn did not have a clue about, the even bigger moment was when they stood in the museum and he just went: “there is only one problem, that painting is a fake” (And I was just like asdaddasffse whaaaat?!)

But by far my favourite moment is in the trial of the triangle where he figures out the rhyme scheme and the poem just by looking at the names and the dates of the sunken ships. like I was sooo proud of him.

and then there was this one time when Jacob was ever once upon a time in wonderland fan ever as he corrected Eve that the queen of hearts and the red queen are in fact not the same =D
