“The Queen's Jest fic is very special to me. It's not just a fic that gives you what you need and truly want. It is also the one that allowed me to feel free. Free to be devoured by my burning passion for Jalec. It was possible. It was okay. What I read was exactly what I dreamed of. I remember the sensation of falling from my chair, reading it twice... so many time now, just to feel this sensation again. Like a first kiss, a beloved memory. And thanks to that I found a family. - Inspired by Pride & Parabatai “Pride and Prejudice is not an easy classic to adapt and one to a fantasy setting like Shadow World. Shirasade takes the setting and the characters and merges them with the Shadow World, Jalec and Parabatai in a way that’s not only beautiful but also inspiring. The language is fitting and characters fit so well. Alec as Lizzie and Jace as Darcy are delightful. They are so great together. Jace’s confession scene is just brutal yet so mesmerizing. Their characterization is spot on, making their canon character failings work perfectly here.
