Enjoy this headcanon from when I was about 14 years old....
I love Jet Set Radio Future. Played it for an absurd amount of time. Did I know what fandom really was at that time? No.
But I had a theory
The game's villain creates a robot version of one of the characters towards the end of the game.
Beat and Zero Beat.
I wondered why. What significance did Beat, aside from being in most promotional material, have to Gouji? None, really.
This is Clutch. At first he's a npc who steals from you but joins your crew after being unlocked.
Is he significant?
Is it reusing animation? Probably yes.
Did my teenage mind spin that into a story of Clutch being Gouji's son who ran away from home? Whom Goiji knew little about really aside from how he looked as a little kid and that he became a Rudie?
And then Gouji runs into a mouthy Rudie with red hair who is the right age snd whose face is half hidden behind the glasses. Gouji concludes that he must be his long lost son and then creates Zero Beat in his image. He even calls them his beautiful children.
This is brought to you by:
1) hey, they have the same dance
2) hey, those two both have red hair
And
3) Why the robots though?
I recently figured out my tablet can run Jet Set Radio which I bought years ago over steam and that reignited my passion. The controls on that game are unforgiving though
