I finished painting my 3d printed McCullum chibi figurine.

I had planned on leaving Mary as is but I think I should paint her skin, the material is too shiny

I painted more of my 3d printed chibis. This is Mary Reid, Jonathan Reid and Geoffry McCullum from the video game Vampyr.

Disclaimer: I used the PrintU generator from Makerlab to generate the 3d models. Yes, it's AI. I didn't get that when I made the first one and then made a bunch more since this service is going to be enshittified next month. I think I got that bug out of my system now.

I'm not finished yet but Mary is the most finished. Painting skin without very visible brush strokes is hatd, I tell you.

I repainted McCullum's hair twice after the first attempt was dark red. I promise he has brown hair. But I like how his eyes seem to follow you through the room. Peak behavior.

So, I bought a skateboard, watched some tutorial videos and went to the park with it.

Turns out I have a horrible sense of.....everything.

There's a test about which foot you have in front and all the videos essentially say 'do what feels natural. You'll know'. Nope, I don't.

I practiced on my carpet, getting on and off. Worked. Practiced in grass. Worked. Practiced on a bit of road with a crack so the wheel couldn't turn. Worked.

Tried on an actual road, board rolls backwards when I try to get on it.

Went to the local skaterpark, hoping they'd have a rail or sth to hold onto. Turns out it a) doesn't and b) was full of very skilled people, none on skateboards.

I didn't want to interrupt, so I watched for a bit and then went home
