Was Johnny brutally abused as a child?
It seems kinda obvious given that most serial killers were indeed abused in their youths but today I’m writing a short theory to explain this in more depth and provide evidence for my favorite Jhonen Vanquez theory of all time: Johnny is Squee from the future. He went back in time to prevent some of the worse abuses he went through to keep himself from becoming a míserable maniac. However, he forgot why he was there and instead continued killing. The only times he saved Squee was from his Dad and from a pedophile.
There are mounds of evidence, meaning there may not be many individual pieces, but those pieces are powerful and nearly indisputable.
1- the cracks in his head, the permanent ones: they are never explained and prominent.
2- amnesia- most likely from the shock therapy and parental abuse
3- his depression, suicidal tendencies, and dim outlook on life- all symptoms of mental and physical abuse in ones past, circumstancal though. The neglect and damage caused by his parents are enough to drive anyone insane especially a six year old kid.
4- Johnny used to be an artist, Squee is also seen drawing frequently, an outlet for his bad luck
5- Johnny cares for Squee. Like really cares. He never hurts him, all his threats towards him are done jokingly, he takes the time to check on him and talk to him, even in the mental ward. He cares for him even more than Devi.
So the real question is: HOW DID HE TIME TRAVEL.
Considering that Johnny is a character who literally had a killing spree in heaven, it doesn’t seem far fetched to think he can time travel
The last damning piece of evidence: in the cell, Squee draws several demented looking things but amoung these is, believe it or not, a sketchy drawing of Zim andddd happy noodle boi.
