                     fingers  are  scrolling  down  the  news  of  RIVERDALE  ,   nancy  drew  would  never  be  in  a  new  town  without  knowing  the  deal  of  the  place  ,   without  being  as  aware   (  as  she  could  be  )  what  was  happening  in  this  little  place  .   a  VACATION  ,   bess  had  said  ;   a  quaint  little  place  with  quaint  little  people  .   their  personal  brit  wasn’t  very  good  at  research  ,   was  she ?  

                 ‘  another  small  town  ,   more  big  unsolved  mysteries  -  ’   nancy  hums  to  herself  ,   blue  hues  taking  in  all  the  information  of  a  place  called  RIVERDALE  ,   many  murders  peppered  into  their  history  .   alas  ;   nancy  has  a  bad  habit  of  forgetting  that  in  a  new  town  ,   they  hear  her  words  .    ‘  so  much  for  relaxing  for  a  week  away  .  ’  

               it  can’t  be  helped  ,   for  theories  are  already  spinning  in  her  head  .

𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡  𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐥𝐞  𝐰𝐚𝐬  𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐥    ,     it  was  also  home.  dried  vermillion,  canary  and  tangerine  foliage  crunches  underneath  her  feet,  the  crackle  in  harmony  with  the  low  hum  she  lets  out.  lips  purse,  eyes  squinting  as  she  looks  up  toward  the  sun  lowering  on  the  horizon.  “  will  it  really?  ”  she  questions,  a  brow  raising.    “  i  mean,  yeah,  there  will  be  no  more  crazy,  OVERBEARING  parents,  no  more  high  school  drama,  no  more  grisly  murders.  i  mean,  fingers  crossed  on  that  one.  ”  she  grumbles  the  last  part  before  glances  over  at  him,  eyes  softening,  longing.  

“  but  there’s  also  no  more  pop’s.  no  more  pep  rallys.  no  more  .  .  .    crappy  school  musicals.  ”  she  laughs,  because  if  she  didn’t,  she  would  die  from  embarrassment.  “  and  no  more  sleuthing  around  late  at  night.  no  more  us.  ALL  OF  US.  we’re  all  going  to  be  in  totally  different  corners  of  the  country  and  then  who  knows  what’ll  happen.  absence  doesn’t  always  make  the  heart  grow  fonder.  sometimes  the  heart  just  .  .  .  forgets.  and  i  don’t  wanna  forget,  jug.  ”

“how about we go out just the two of us, juggie? it has been a while. and I think I owe you one. or a couple.” considering he failed to show up to one of their meetings after high school or perhaps, he is just searching for excuses to hang out with his best friend. “all you can eat, my treat, what do you say?“ and golden gaze settles on the raven haired man before him, and archie flashes a smile that it’s all archie from high school, dorkish and charming and he knows it will get him an affirmative answer.  @jughie​
