🌙🌙🌙🌙🌙🌙🌙🌙🌙🌙🌙🌙🌙🌙🌙🌙 I introduce to you Lori. My new favorite bartender. Something between the easy conversation flow and the fluidity of her language reminded me of why a good NYC bar is always worth my while. Interestingly enough, this is Lori’s first bar tending gig in the city- she’s been serving for about a month at Juke Bar. An East Village dive- bar known for its infamous dollar beer night Monday’s after 9, has a slow and chill night Sunday before its large crowds. Lori is a recent transplant from Boston, Massachusetts and reps her alma mater -Wellesley College- proudly. Before being a bartender, she served at a local restaurant in her town continually searching for a place of belonging. Lori is a bartender that exhibits chill vibes and demonstrates exceptional customer service. She’s quite server and her investment in a conversation will never go unnoticed. Insightful, Charismatic and charming in her own way- she gets the job done. Her Sunday regular Alvin described her as “relatable and insightful”. I’m writing this review because interactions like these often go unnoticed. The city is a living and breathing ecosystem where human interaction is more about the rush rather than its meaningful interaction. Lori is very chill, very laid back- watch her make the signature “Miss Sophie”, and relax to the Lana Del Rey album playing in the background. When Lori isn’t working catch her at Brooklyn Covenhoven, enjoying a neat Glenfiddich Malt Scotch Whiskey. When Lori is working catch her (and now me) on Sunday’s and ask for the Kama-Sophie.
