ok ok just to add a little more sprinkles to @melospace's au idea for jane (it's complicated) x jules (the intern), since both of the films are from nancy mayers, the total idea isn't really hard to imagine, hence, editing these scenes looks like it came out straight from an actual movie. i could really imagine this one to mirandy. if only i could manip the hair of meryl here and make it silver it would be great tho im not that great.

The story shows how the desire to try new things & keep busy takes a retired 70 year old Ben to an intern job at 'About the fit', a fashion website headed by Jules, where they both try to make this unique placement work. Along the way, they learn many different facets of their professional & personal life & make us realise that business is much more than clever tactics & profits.

My thoughts <3

A feel-good movie with a senior giving life advice to & helping out his young boss. It's so heartwarming to see Jules & Ben grow from being sceptical of each other to being close enough to share their insecurities & fears.

It also throws light on the fact that successful women in business are faced with many more challenges compared to men. Jules personal life falling apart as she becomes more invested in her work shows how women get frustrated to a level that they are ready to sacrifice their dreams to keep things from going out of hand. Jules too was ready to let go of the thing she loved- her work.

Ben comes here at the right time to help her cope through all the insanity & being her personal therapist was really heart touching. He has that warm & friendly nature that can help anyone going through a rough patch.

All in all, it was a sweet movie & helps you understand how trying out unknown things may turn out to be the best thing that happened to you. 🫶🏻
