Oh god. I just stumbled upon a social media account with someone named Kyrsyka. It is apparently an alternative spelling of Kirsikka. The word means ”cherry” in Finnish and it is used as a first name in Finland.
The letter ”Y” is, in Finnish, not pronounced anywhere near the way ”I” is. I don’t like the alternative spelling AT ALL.
