Julia Davis’ “Camping” has got to be one of the most horrifying pieces of media since Hitchcock’s “Psycho” (1960)
#I do both love the show and also think it’s one of the most really horrifyingly intense pieces of media I’ve ever watched#imo it’s a deceptively simple premise that manages to magnify the utterly horrifying aspects of going on a really terrible family holiday#like it really gets you under your skin with the intentional cringe factor and really dread at what’s about to happen#It’s like a car crash in a way (in a good way I mean as it were lol)#You want to look away…but you can’t#and ofc the show’s not for the faint of heart obvs (it’s a Julia Davis project after all)#comedy is subjective and all that#but if you’re into horror that really makes you cringe (in a good way) then “Camping” is the show for you#camping (tv series)#julia davis#steve pemberton#rufus jones#vicki pepperdine
