UPDATE: I found a good substitute hair that already makes a difference.
I took another shot at making Julia for TS3. Her nose still isn't quite right (although I think a lot of that has to do with TS4 skin details adding shadows) and I can't get her brows to dip that low without distorting her nose bridge, but she looks a lot more like Julia than my last effort. As soon as @rollo-rolls has her hair ready, I think that will make a huge difference.
It was time for Caio to lose the bandana, and sorry Eliana, your mama got there first.
BIGGER
Hair by @rollo-rolls!!
Julia broke the news to her mom about quitting her job and about her plan to find Caio.
"Are you sure you want to do that?" Delaney asked. "You're a successful woman and an amazing mother, while he's been...in the wind somewhere. You don't need him."
"I'm not saying I want to get back together with him. I'm just saying that he should know about Iara. After that, if he wants to be a part of her life, that's up to him," Julia said.
"You're far more mature than I was at your age," Delaney said.
Julia laughed, remembering the stories about her parents feuding over twenty bucks and a lawn chair. "Yeah, I know."
"Well, you know your dad and I will support you," Delaney said. "But Caio is the one who should be chasing you, not the other way around."
"I know that, too," Julia said with a sigh.
When Julia left Brindleton Bay, she had no intention of continuing the family sweater tradition. She could admit that the togetherness is what made her childhood special, but she wanted to forge her own traditions with her own family.
Except when the girls saw the old family photos at Grandma and Grandpa's house, they wanted the tree and the lights and the gifts and the sweaters. Grandma Delaney was happy to oblige, sending them home with the sweaters she'd kept since Ajae and Julia were kids.
The girls hid the bag of sweaters under Eliana's bed (with the monster) until Winterfest. Julia was reluctant, but when she saw the girls' hopeful faces--and even Caio was excited about the sweaters--she couldn't say no.
HAPPY HOLIDAY FROM THE HOWARD-MACHADO FAMILY!
