Julia’s Timeline
Chapter One: CCRP
An array of tall blue candles burn brightly around a demonic shrine. Julia Owens, a mysterious woman with a past unknown to anyone and hair as red as blood, was kneeled before it. Holding a large black book. Starting to flip through its old pages yellowed and wrinkled from years of constant use. She started whispering words of a language long forgotten. As she continued to chant, her eyes started to glow with a blue light as her chanting stopped.
The room filled with blue smoke, and out of the darkness the lord in black Pokotho appeared. Julia was quick to bow to him.
“Lord Pokotho the Singular Voice, I have come before you with Emma Perkins as requested!” She said, pointing over at the knocked out woman. Pokotho inspected the barista thoroughly, impressed by Julia's work.
“I’m glad you didn’t do much damage to her! Well now that's settled I have your next assignment” He spoke.
“What is it?” She muttered, Pokotho always gave her strange tasks. Often having to do with her murdering some random person. Over the years she grew almost numb to it. But getting them was always unsettling.
“I need you to go work at a place called CCRP”
“What?! Why do you need me to go there?”
“There's someone I’ve been wanting to be a part of my hive for years but he’s been avoiding me every time! His name is Paul Matthews, and I’ll need you to keep an eye on him for me!” He explained.
“But Pokotho! My lord...I don’t even know what I’d be doing there I have no experience working in tech!” She uttered. “Surely you have other devotes to do this-”
“That doesn’t matter!” He said, cutting Julia off, “I’ve already taken care of it. Check your emails, you start Monday!” She tried to protest, but he was gone in a matter of seconds.
Days later Julia drove to the office building, and walked into CCRP. It was bigger than she expected. She examined the office wide eyed, as she walked through the building in search of where her desk might be. After what felt like hours of searching she finally found someone who looked to be a secretary of sorts.
She had bright curly hair, and cat-eye glasses. She reminded Julia of another red haired woman she knew. Though they haven't talked in a while.
"Are you Julia Owens?" The Secretary asked, Julia nodded.
"Yeah that's me"
"Perfect, I'm Silvia. I usually work on the top floor, but for some reason I've been assigned to make sure you know the layout. So the break room's over there, that's the elevator and there's your desk you'll be spending most of your time here." Silvia said, pointing at an empty cubical. "You think you can take it from here?" She asked.
“Yeah I'll be fine.” Julia responded.
"Perfect good luck!" Silvia spoke, before leaving down the hall to the elevator. Julia sat down in her cubicle, and started turning on the computer and setting everything up. She was in the middle of working on some mind numbing report she didn’t understand. When she overheard a voice from the next desk over.
“Hi Paul” the woman said,
“Hey Melissa” the man from the other cubicle responded. Julia's heart stopped upon hearing that name.
“Melissa?!” she muttered, stopping everything she was doing instantly. She recognized the name immediately. And tilted her chair back to catch a glance of the woman. She matched all of Pokotho's descriptions; she was without a doubt the same person that he told her about. "Out of all the places that bitch could have worked..." Julia grumbled. Pokotho had told her about Melissa before, and everything he said about the woman did not paint her in a flattering light. To say the least, all Julia knew about her was that she’s insane and likes to kidnap people, and keep them as pets. Before killing them, with her other psychotic friends.
Julia wasn't sure why, but ever since Pokotho had first told her about Melissa, she felt a burning hatred towards her. And vowed to kill her if she were ever to encounter the psychopathic bitch. So unsurprisingly Julia was mortified that she now had to work with her. She tried to distract herself by getting some work done. Praying that Melissa wouldn't go anywhere near her cubicle. But she couldn’t help overhearing some sleelzy looking guy with a mustache discussing wanting to hit on the maniac.
“I wouldn’t do that if I were you!” She muttered, under her breath upon hearing his comments typing on her computer looking unbothered, as Ted turned to face her.
“Why not red head?” He asked, with a smirk on his face. "You trying to smash or something baby?"
“Fuck off you bastard!” She responded, before putting her headphones on. Blocking out everything that he said afterwards after typing various reports for two hours she started to feel burnt out. So She figured she’d might as well try her luck with the office coffee, and made her way to the break room. And that's where she saw him, he wore a handsome suit, had short brown hair and had the most beautiful blue eyes she had ever seen. Julia was never one for love at first sight but he might be the exception!
“Hello,” he said, his voice like honey to her ears.
“H-hi” she uttered, nervously waving, to him feeling her face burn.
“You're the new employee right?” He asked, she nodded, her heart pounding as she poured the coffee into her cup. “Well then I should tell you I wouldn’t drink the coffee if I were you, it's terrible!”
“Oh!...Thanks for the warning..” She laughed, “is there any decent place to get coffee around here?”
“Well there's this coffee shop nearby, it's called beanies or something. We should go together sometime!” Paul responded.
“That sounds nice! I’m Julia Owens by the way, what's your name?” she asked,
“Paul Matthews” he responded, her heart stopped after hearing his name, processing that he was the very man she was sent to spy on.
"Nice meeting you Paul" Julia said, through a forced grin
“You too”
Once she got back to her cubicle she felt her face turn red she buried her head into her hand as she started to panic.
“Of course this is fucking happening!” She muttered, “what the fuck Julia?! Poktoho sent you here for one reason you had one job!! ONE!! And you had to go and fuck it up….What am I gonna do? What would Poktoho do if he found out…” Julia's mind raced with possible outcomes, of how the god might react to her possibly dating the man she was sent to spy on as she quietly broke down in the cubicle she dried her eyes and sat up “it’ll be okay Pokotho will never find out I’ll make sure of it!”

Julia's Timeline chapter two: Hey, Melissa!
On an early Friday Morning bright rays of sunlight shines through the windows of the breakroom. Where Paul Matthews stands, nervously fiddling with his coffee cup awaiting anxiously. He glanced at the clock for the tenth time that morning. Just as Julia swung the door open and walked in.
"Good morning Paul!" She said, waving to him.
"Morning Jules!" He replied, Paul had recently nicknamed Julia ‘Jules’. Usually she hated it when others called her by anything but her chosen name. But Paul was the only exception.
“So why’d you want to see me?” She asked, playfully tilting her head, faint blush on her cheeks. Hoping she already knew what Paul wanted to ask her.
"Oh!....Uhh I know that this seems very sudden and forward and all…Hell we’ve only known each other for about a week..…But if you were free this weekend I was wondering if you'd maybe like to meet up for coffee?" He asked, his hands stimming nervously, eyes dotting back and forth at Julia.
"I'd love to!" She replied instantly, smiling brightly nodding fastly
"How's Saturday at 3?" He asked
"I'm free then!"
"Perfect! I'll see you then Jules!" They waved goodbye and when Julia got to her desk she had to remind herself that falling in love with Paul was not what Pokotho sent her to do. But that wasn’t half as difficult as ignoring Ted's annoying advances. After their first meeting Julia didn't think much of him. But she quickly came to notice that Melissa wasn't the only person he talked that way about.
He seemed to do the same to literally everyone else in the office. Regardless of gender or relationship status, but that didn't even compare to how hard trying to keep her hatred for Melissa a secret. Though she was sure she wasn't fooling anyone, as time went by and more and more people started to come in. Julia already had her hands full with a report assigned to her from Mr. Davidson when she heard the squeaky wheels of an old mail cart roll over the old gray carpet. behind the cart stood the person Julia hated the most a girl with thick rimmed glasses and a psychotic smile.
“Hi Paul!” Melissa said, her ear piercing voice making Julia’s ears bleed she might not be able to feel any type of physical pain anymore but being near Melissa was pretty damn close to it. Julia kept a close eye on her making sure she doesn’t try to do anything to him knowing what she was capable of. Paul stiffens and looks up from his computer looking obviously uncomfortable with having to talk to her
“Hey Melissa….” He said, not looking at her in the eyes
“Are you doing anything this weekend?” She asked
“Yes! I’m meeting up with Julia on Saturday!” He responded automatically,
“What about Sunday? Are you free then?” She asked, Julia’s jaw dropped
“Is this bitch really trying to hit on him?! Oh hell no!! Well looks like I have a new reason to hate her!” Julia thought, shaking with rage.
“Because I got these two tickets to this new musical at the starlight it’s called working B-”
“Aaaagh! No Melissa…Just no!” Paul muttered shaking his head clear disgust in his voice
“What’s wrong?”
“I don’t like musicals!”
“Okay, do you like film?” She asked, Paul refused again, but she just wouldn’t leave! Instead, bringing up other things that he obviously doesn’t like, needless to say it got old very fast!
“You’re making Paul uncomfortable; he clearly doesn’t want to talk to you!! Learn to take a fucking hint you bitch!!” She mumbled, angrily tapping her finger against her desk. As Melissa continuously pestered Paul. When she finally left Julia tried to ignore the pure hatred and rage she felt for the women. As Melissa walked past her desk. Sadly pushing the cart, seeing the disappointment and sadness on Melissa's face as she wheeled the cart away made Julia smile.
When She finally started to calm down. Bill poked his head over to Paul’s cubicle.
“What the hell is your problem?” Bill said, her body froze she immediately stopped everything she was doing to listen to what Bill was about to say.
“You better be very careful Bill” she thought, trying to eavesdrop on their conversation.
“What do you mean?” Paul asked,
“When a lovely young lady tries to make conversation the least you could do is get off your Facebook. I know that’s what you're doing!”
That comment pushed Julia over the edge. This wasn’t the first time Bill had done something that personally irritated her, and it wasn’t only his constant defense of Melissa when Julia made slide comments about her. It was the fact that he regularly pushed Paul into going to see musicals with him which wouldn’t irritate her as much if Paul didn’t express his dislike for musical theater. He told Bill that musicals make him uncomfortable, many times. Which as an autistic person Julia recognized as possible overstimulation.
“Shut up, hypocrite! You can’t be talking. You’re active on there right now! See?! your messenger is even open!” Julia said, walking over to Bill's desk and pointing at his monitor.
“Hey! This is an A-B conversation! So C your way out of it.” He said, Julia gasped loudly, and put on a dramatically defeated face the frowned comically loudly hitting her hand against her chest. All those acting classes would have to amount to something.
“Oh my gosh so mean!” She cried, in the most obvious fake-sad voice ever, before straightening up her posture and placing both hands on her hips. “Where the fuck did did you learn that!? Your 3rd grade teacher?!” She scoffed. “You know what Bill, kiss my D! Also while I’m at it quit trying to push Paul into going out with Melissa! He doesn’t have to if he doesn’t want to okay?! You can’t force him to do anything! I’m out of here!” She spoke, flicking Bill off before storming back to her desk, Paul smiles Bill often pushed him into situations he didn’t feel comfortable with many times. It was nice to have someone to defend him, as Julia passed his desk on the way back to hers their eyes met, Paul gave her a thankful smile and she gave him a nod and a wink.
“Can you believe the nerve of her?!” Bill said expecting Paul to back him up
“You know what Bill, Jules is right! This is incredibly inappropriate office behavior! And besides I’m going out with her this weekend so I’m not trying to get with anyone else! Don’t talk to me, I'm putting in my earbuds!”
Meanwhile Julia was listening from her desk. Feeling content with herself “good job Paul!” She thought proud that he was standing up to for himself. After two hours of mindless typing she felt so tired and desperate she decided to grab the terrible coffee from the break room.
“I’m telling ya Bill I just have to turn up the old Spankoffski charm and then Melissa will be begging to fuck me! She'll be riding this dick in no time!” She overheard Ted explain to Bill. While she was making her drink.
“That's not a good idea!” Julia mumbled, filling her cup with the shitty office coffee.
“What is your problem with her anyway?” Bill asked, Julia took a sip of her coffee and shrugged.
“You guys are bound to find out sooner or later,” she said,
“Something is up with her. I don’t know what but something is definitely going on!” Bill spoke, Ted shrugged.
“Ehh she’s just weird, who cares?” He said before leaving. Later that day Julia sat at her desk looking at her computer half asleep watching the clock waiting for the day to be over when something caught her attention. She perked up hearing Ted’s voice coming from Paul’s cubical
“She said she wants to meet in the parking lot after work! I told ya she’d come around sooner or later huh Paul?”
“That's nice Ted…” Paul spoke, obviously uninterested in the conversation. Ted went on for about five more minutes, before leaving to meet up with the person who Julia was sure was Melissa. Julia sat and stared blankly at her computer contemplating on what she should do next. Should she step in and save Ted? Or just let Melissa have her way with him? Against all her better judgment and her dislike for Ted the first option seemed better to her. So she discreetly loaded up her gun, and started to mentally prepare for a possible fight with the psychopathic cat woman.
“God..I can't let this happen….he might be a bastard, but no one deserves that fate!” Julia thought, while walking out of the office building. Gripping onto her gun in her bag, from where she was standing she could vaguely hear the conversation that the two were having. Ted was not holding back some of his comments made her disgusted. But when she saw Melissa starting to pull out her taser Julia didn’t hesitate to shoot her then..BAM! One gunshot was all it took. Melissa looked down at the bleeding hole in her chest pressing her hand against it mortified to see blood dripping off her hand and onto the ground she let out an almost silent gasp before falling onto the floor bleeding out on the pavement her body lifeless
“What the hell Julia?!” Ted yelled, noticing the red haired woman holding a gun. “She was finally gonna let me hit!” He spoke, looking down at the corpse
“Shut the hell up you bastard!” Julia snapped, pointing her gun at Ted. “I had to kill her, she was gonna tase you!” she said, pointing at the taser in Melissa's hand. Ted didn't say anything but only stared at it in disbelief.
“Oh my god….” He muttered, stepping away in horror. As Julia shot Melissa twice more in the head and once in the heat before putting her gun away. Even kicking Melissa’s head just for good measure. Then started to drag the corpse to her car.
“What are you doing now?!” Ted spoke.
“Well I can’t leave her here, what would the cops think?! Now shut up and help me out!” She demanded, Ted thought he might as well see how this plays out so he grabbed the corpse by the legs and helped Julia bring it to her car. Throwing the dead woman into the trunk, that was already filled with thick plastics, heavy chains, bleach etc. That Julia kept in there for moments like these, she started wrapping the corpse of the newly dead psycho in the chains and plastics before shutting down the handle of the trunk. “Alright get in the car!” Julia spoke, walking to the driver's seat
“Where the fuck are we going?!” Ted called out.
“I’ll explain on the way, are you coming or not?” She yelled, Ted stood there for a second he decided he had nothing to lose. So he opened the door to the passenger side. As Julia started the car and drove away.
“So now can you please tell me what the hell is going on?!” He demanded.
“Melissa is uh I mean was a psychopath and she was planning on doing something horrible to you!" She explained, trying to keep it vague as possible. Not being able to stomach Melissa's disgusting actions.
"Like what?" The man asked, craving context.
"Let's just say ... .If I hadn’t stepped in you would be wishing you were dead right about now. And judging on how she’s been acting lately if I hadn’t killed her she was going to do something equally as horrific to Paul! I couldn’t let that happen to either of you...So I had to kill her!” After she finished talking she pulled over and stopped the car near the Nantucket bridge.
“What are we doing here?” Ted asked, following Julia out of the car
“Were gonna throw that psycho off this bridge so no one will ever find her” she explained
“Jesus Christ have you done this before?” Ted uttered, Julia chuckled and shrugged
“Ehh a few times” she laughed, while opening the trunk. “Alright help me drag her off this bitch!” Ted nodded, taking one side of the corpse as Julia took the other. They then threw her off the bridge, after the body splashed into the water never to be seen again Julia sighed and sat down on the sidewalk. Leaning against a light pole, Ted joined her.
“How are you so unfazed by all this?” He asked Julia shrugged,
“I don’t know, I must just be used to it I guess!” She said
“Bill was right you are fucking weird!” He laughed,
“Hey you’re no better you bastard” she responded playfully hitting his arm. And as the two newly formed friends laughed Julia felt relief rush through her body. She had been worried about having to deal with Melissa; she was so grateful that she was actually gone. She sighed and leaned her head against the light pole and glanced at Ted.
“Hey I have some weed at my house, wanna get high and watch shitty movies or something?” She suggested,
“Hell yeah lets get fucked up!” He cheered, the two rushed to the car and quickly drove away
Julia's Timeline Chapter Three: Officer Bailey and Chapter Four: Promise
Authors Note: promise was shorter than I thought so I just put both chapters on the same post!
Julia’s heart raced, as she walked back and forth outside of Beanies. The local coffee shop, where she and Paul agreed to meet for a casual coffee date.
“Oh this was such a bad idea! If Pokotho found out it, would be the end of me!” she thought, stimming with her choker. Before finally seeing her date, “Hi, Paul!” She said. Trying to act like she wasn’t just having a panic attack seconds before.
“Hey Jules, sorry I’m late.. a whole thing happened with some homeless guy and this really rude woman from Greenpeace begging me for money or something..” Paul spoke clear annoyance in his voice.
“That's alright let's just go inside!” She said, opening the door to the coffee shop. They walked in, ordered their drinks and started chatting. “I’m glad that we were able to meet up today. This week has been crazy for me!” Julia spoke. Paul nodded
“A lot of weird shit has been happening lately. First three teenagers get found dead, then Melissa goes missing. What's next, Ted dies or something?” He laughed.
"Yeah that'd be crazy! But you know what they say this is Hatchetfield people go missing everyday!” She stated, as another cop car drove past the coffee shop. Sirens blaring in the distance.
“Check out those cop cars, I bet they’re after a perp!” Paul said, Julia laughed at that comment.
“A perp, seriously?” She asked, tilting her head playfully.
“Uhh, it's short for perpetrator. I’m in the neighborhood watch now!” He spoke.
“Oh it looks like the streets are safe again thank god” she laughed
“Well if you see anything dangerous, you can give me a call!” Paul remarked, handing Julia a small piece of paper.
“And he gives me his number? Very smooth!” She spoke, adding the number to her very short contacts list. "What made you want to join the neighborhood watch?” she asked,
“My nephew Richie was killed a few days ago, his body was found in the high school locker room. The cops still can’t figure out what happened to him!” Paul explained.
“Oh my god Paul that's horrible! I’m so sorry” She said, putting her hand on top of Paul's patting it gently
“Thank you Julia I’m just glad I’m able to help out in the investigation even if it is in a small way.”
“Well if you need anything I’m here for you!” She spoke putting her hand on Paul's shoulder and just as they were handed their drinks a cop barged in and immediately started yelling.
“EXCUSE ME EVERYONE I’M A COP!! I’M LOOKING FOR AN 18 YEAR OLD CAUCASIAN FEMALE!” He screamed, loud enough for the entire coffee shop to hear.
“Hey I think that's the cop working my nephew's case I should probably see if there's any updates!” Paul said glancing at Julia, she shook her head.
“I don’t think that's a good idea, Paul he looks mentally unstable, hell I don’t even think he should be a cop!” Julia whispered, but Paul didn’t hear her. He got up and started to walk over to the cop. “Oh this is gonna be bad” Julia thought, already preparing to fight the cop if things went south.
“Excuse me officer I couldn’t help but over hearing you were looking for a perp I’m in the neighborhood watch and-”
“Sir do not approach me” the cop said.
“Okay” Paul spoke, backing away.
“HE’S REACHING FOR A GUN” He yelled, before violently beating Paul. Julia jumped up from her seat, shock and anger rushing through her body.
“Oh hell no!!” She mumbled, placing her drink on the table before pulling the cop off of Paul. “GET THE FUCK OFF OF HIM YOU GOOD FOR NOTHING PIG!” she yelled, before punching him square in the face, breaking his nose in the process. The sound of his bones cracking into pieces was so satisfying to her ears. The cop fell due to the pain, clutching his shattered, bleeding nose before running off.
"...Julia?" Paul muttered, his newly formed wounds throbbing with pain, seeing Julia shaking with anger. “Where’d the cop go?” He uttered trying to get her attention.
“That doesn't matter” Julia spoke, helping Paul up and gently sitting him down on a soft chair “stay here I’ll be back in five minutes” she said before sprinting out the door and just as she promised she returned instantly “hey I’m back! let's go I have some bandages at my house.” She said reassuringly, before the two left.
….............................................
“Alright, that should do it, how are you feeling?” She asked, applying the last of the bandages on Paul’s body.
“I’m doing better, thank you!” He responded.
“It's no problem,” Julia said, patting Paul's shoulder. “I’m just glad you’re doing okay now!”
“Thank you again for saving me from him! I don’t know what I’d do without you!” He said
“Oh it was nothing Paul really, I mean it was the least I could do! Like I wasn’t just gonna stand there and scream! What type of person would that make me?”
“I still have no idea what I did to set that cop off!” Paul commented,
“Ehh...He was probably just mentally unstable! A lot of people in this town are..” She spoke, thinking back to Melissa.
“What do you think I should do?” Paul asked,
“Maybe try suing the police station for wrongful assault?" She suggested, “try to get some compensation or something.”
“That’s not a bad idea, my cousin is a lawyer. I'll call him later to see if there's anything I can do.” Just as Paul stopped talking, a crash sound came from Julia’s basement.
“Stay here I’ll go see what that was, I’ll be back in a minute!” Julia said, before walking down the stairs, into her basement. She could hear the muffled screams of the same cop who had just assaulted Paul. She smiled seeing him bound to the floor fighting for his life. She laughed as she pulled out her black book.
“You know if you were anybody else I would have just shot you in the ally way and leave you for the rats! But no you deserve this fate you disgusting pig I’m gonna make sure you'll never hurt him again!” She explained, flipping through the yellow pages of the old black book. Chanting in the old forgotten language as her chanting increased, bright blinding green, purple, yellow, blue and pink lights shined in the basement. Horrifying eldritch horrors appeared before the police officer, laughing hysterically. The cop let out one last muffled scream and he was gone. Julia smiled, feeling content and happy. Putting her black book back before joining Paul back in the living room. “Sorry I took so long! Some stuff fell over and it took me a while to clean it!” She explained.
“It's alright I’m feeling a lot better anyway!” He said, as Julia joined him on the couch.
“Good I’m glad to hear it! Something tells me that we won't have to deal with him ever again!” She spoke, quickly kissing his cheek. Paul blushed heavily, quickly turning his head to face her. “I’m so sorry I should have asked I-” Julia rushed to get her words out but before she could finish, Paul pulled her into another kiss.
The rest of the night was a blur of short kisses turning into longer ones, that turned into full on make out sessions on the couch. It got so intense that they decided to move it to Julia’s bedroom. She doesn’t remember much after that.
Chapter four promise~♡
That morning Julia woke up tangled in her bedding. Her head was buried in Paul's bare chest, one hand holding her head and the other holding her tightly. Her body was still sore from the night before. She struggled to remember what happened, it all felt like a dream. But when she looked up and saw Paul. Quietly sleeping, all the memories came flying back.
She remembered everything: the coffee shop, the police officer who she had just sacrificed, and even Melissa. Julia laughed thinking back on everything.
“You’d be in a very different situation if it weren’t for me huh?” She thought, brushing her hand against Paul’s face. She smiled, there was something about seeing him rest so peacefully, that made her feel so calm. Just looking at him made her chest feel tight and hot, like it was burning. She had never felt this way about anyone else before, she thought of all the horrible things that happened in Hatchetfield. And took his head in her hands and made a promise “no matter what happens I promise I’ll always protect you” she whispered kissing his forehead softly "forever and always!"
I'm starting to kinsider my oc, Julia....
Bill: where’s Melissa Julia: she’s in the garden we had a little argument Bill: I looked, she’s not there! Julia: did you dig?
