This post is inspired by @thejealouscurator who announced that the National Museum of Art is celebrating women's month by inviting everyone to name #5womenartists. Here are my 5, er, 6, all of whom are #ceramicartists and all of whom I own a piece of their work. #juliagalloway, my long time teacher, without whom I would not be a clay maker. @michelleclesse, my long time friend, drawer of pirates and bunnies and marketing guru at @unionproject. @tillytroelstrup, my first studio assistant and the most motivated and well put together 20 some year old I know. @musingaboutmud, maker of such sweet pots and tireless contributor to the ceramics world. @roseymaple whose quirky work I love, especially that little ghost horse. Last but not least, @btothebth who makes such simple, lovely and charming work. I love seeing how the glaze on this cup changes from white to pink. So! Are you still reading? Who are your 5?!?
