Vampire: The Masquerade - Choice of Games Titles

Julian Sim is high humanity to me, at a 7 at least. I love that because it shows high humanity vampires can still be the biggest assholes.

i'm curious about other people's opinions on what julian sim is trying to do to dismantle the masquerade. essentially taking advantage of this era of ai and misinformation to make humans slowly normalize the existence of vampires. similar to the same way aliens or ghosts are considered by many to be real. do we think it would work?

Julian's Charisma, Manipulation, and Persuasion stats so good that it affects real life too. I mean, his whole thing makes sense if he is making himself sounds more calculating and cunning than he actually is. Because some of his dialogues goes like "I'll figure it out" or straight up saying that he doesn't know his plan for Reremouse actually work. From what I understand, he has a vague idea and the tools for it but not about it's success rate. I feel like Prince Lettow understands Julian better than the courier, hence why he is on edge around the Prince. Because Lettow has the experience, the wisdom, and the power to hit the bull's eye. I like that Lettow is the one to truly make Julian's mask crack with little effort. You can tell that his words during the fight strikes deep within Julian to the point that his neonate self is willing to fight back against a 250 year old something Gangrel elder. Being a disappointment or thinking he isn't like his clan enough clearly bothers Julian and the fact that Lettow brings it up while demeaning his intellect is just cherry on top.

Aside from that, I think Julian genuinely isn't too keen on diablerie. Remember, he is a disappointment to his clan so it's not too unbelievable if it includes 'not reveling in diablerie' as well. I wouldn't put it past him to fail trying out diablerie and makes MC do it, instead of admitting he fails—Julian makes a grand plan with MC as his blueprint. Although, make no mistake—I believe Julian always try to come up with a plan for better (un)living since before the diablerie—maybe even before MC arrives. However, it just so happen that they have a skeleton in the closet and have to hide it or make up some sort of justification. Julian's biggest luck is that he's dealing with Prince Lettow who is VERY merciful towards him, despite his crimes. Lettow is valid to crash out on Reremouse quest—he is fed up of letting Julian off the hook. I mean, can you believe the amount of THINGS Julian has done—the crimes he swiftly evades just because he talks? Lettow has enough of that and punches Julian mid-sentence. I think Julian knows that it's only by Prince Lettow's mercy that he is able to continue roaming the earth, hence why he asks the Prince to email or contact him as well.
