Rue sat on one of the branches of an evergreen tree in District Eleven. It was nearing afternoon but the sky was overcast, leaving the world below dark and gloomy. Rue wished that the sun would come out but it was Fall, meaning the sunshine would be scarce from now on. Unfortunately that made working in the orchards much harder. She sighed and leaned against the trunk of the tree, kicking her feet to and fro. While doing this,Rue noticed that one of her shoes was loose but she was simply too lazy to tie it on tighter. 

A few minutes later, Rue noticed a human like figure moving down below her. She leaned forward slightly, trying to see if she would make it out as anyone that she knew but too many branches were blocking her view. "Huh," Rue mumbled to herself. She made a move to go lower on the tree but as she did that her shoe fell off and hurdled right toward the figure's head.

Rue & Arizona

Rue shivered and exhaled, watching her breathe turn to mist in the air. It was late, the sun already dipping down in the sky, now hardly giving off any light and the moon was getting ready to make an appearance. Rue was in District Twelve waiting for the trains to take off. She had come with a number of other Eleven orchard workers to drop of pumpkins and a few other goods to the mining District. Rue had already done her share but the train wouldn't leave for at least another hour. So here she was, sitting in the cold by herself. After a few more minutes the sun was completely gone and Rue was sure she was going to freeze her little arms off. The days are getting shorter already, Rue thought with a frown. She wasn't a big fan of the cold. Rue took a glace around the area and saw a small store with the lights on not too far from her. Maybe they'd let her stay in there until the train was ready. She would even buy something of she had to. Rue coughed and made her way over to the local business. ***

When Rue opened the door and stepped inside, the smell of fresh baked pastries was the first thing she noticed. "Maybe this is the Mellark's place," She murmured to herself as she looked around.

Open RP

Rue sat on a park bench in Eleven, swinging her feet back and forth. She had just gotten off her work shift but she didn't quite feel like going home yet, mostly because it was her turn to make dinner tonight and she was still tired from working in the orchards. Humming a song to herself, Rue bent down and picked up some dead leaves off the grass. Fall was coming again, time for apples and pumpkins. Rue opened up her hand and let the leaves fly off in the cool Autumn breeze.
