240526 SHINee World VI Perfect Illumination: SHINee's Back Day III

22 October 2019 귀환, Day 1

Dearest Jinki,

Congratulations on your first stage! You were so awesome sweetheart!

The day started quite nicely. It was a sunny day, the weather’s nice, it was a quick trip to the venue and upon arriving there, we were greeted with this:

We had to wait a bit before they opened the hall, but it’s all good. There was a young boy dancing to SHINee songs outside, I almost rushed to join him during Everybody to do the helicopter move. Haha. When we were finally allowed to enter the building, everyone rushed to go to the coffee shop for the cup holder event for you. ^^ I headed for the tickets first, collected them and then queued for the MD. The program book is so delightful with all those pictures from rehearsals. You looked so cute!!! My heart just melted. 💙 I was flapping my arms telling my friend about how cute you looked!

When the show started, my heart was beating so fast wondering at what point you’ll come out. When you did and I first heard your voice again, it’s so soft and gentle and my heart wanted to scream how i missed you so much!! Seungho is such an endearing character, and you played it so sincerely. I was laughing when Seungho was whining because of his exam results. Really Jinki? An all out flop on the floor? Haha. And your whiny voice then as you spoke with Haeil. Cute cute cute! When he taught you how to ride a bike, the way you cheered so happily when Seungho did it alone is so cute!! I keep on saying cute because you were that adorable!!!

Those shy but lingering glances you threw Haesong’s way were also giving me heart palpitations. The small, shy smiles... when you reached out your hand nervously to her... whenever you look back to see more of her when she walks away... How to be Haesong in those moments?!

When war started and slowly, events changed Seungho from this ordinary, gentle guy to a man burdened with the world, jaded and lonely - it was so painful to watch. To see Seungho crying from the depths of his being, with piercing cries and body bent in pain, it’s torture.

At that moment, all i could think of is that it’s so hard to watch you like that, even if it’s just a role you’re portraying. I can’t bear the sound of you crying 😭

But you gave your all out there and I couldn’t be any prouder.

My favorite scenes? When you and the present Seungho were mirroring each other in Act 1 and your voices meld so beautifully together. Of course I love your solo 사랑이라는 very much. The set looked so dreamy and they added fireflies at some point and the whole scene was so soft. At that moment, i thought this is probably what your concert will be like and I CAN’T WAIT.

I also loved it when there were parallel scenes of you and Haeil in the past, and Hyomin and Wooju in the present. That was so bittersweet. Also, when the present Seungho finally got to fulfill his promise and he brought his friends home and the whole stage opened up with both past and present together, like a loop that’s finally complete.

I love Minseok’s acting too and Sunggyu’s voice. Jo Kwon plays the role of the grandchild so endearingly. And Lee Jeongyeol as the present Seungho is outstanding. When you sang with him and Jo Kwon, what beautiful harmony you created.

Ji Cheong Cheon was a character that’s larger than life and you played that role with an air of nobility and gallantry that’s awe-inspiring. This time around, as Kim Seungho, the story showed how very human he is and you played it with such sincerity and vulnerability that at the end of the musical, I was left speechless at how you were able to bring him to life.

You are awesome Jinki and I can’t wait to watch you again. Love you! 💙

010319 Shinheung Military Academy

Jinki is just so........ amazing. No description will ever give justice to how amazing he is to me. You know how some parents say that their children are their hearts living outside their body? That’s how I feel when i see him and watch him be amazing on and off stage. It’s just so overwhelming and joyful. I can go on and on and on but i’ll spare you more of my cheesiness. 😂

Here’s some random thoughts from last night:

- When the curtains rose at the start, a man was standing in the middle of the stage with his back towards the audience. The lights were still a bit dark and then the man ran off to the side. Guess who!

- Jinki in military uniform! There’s this part when he roughly opened up his coat. He was of course still wearing a shirt underneath, but my eyes widened at how buff that chest looked.

- Jinki’s fight scene at the library! He was so into it!!!

- Jinki’s sword dance. I was waiting for him to twirl that like crazy. haha.

- There’s this part when he wore a soldier’s cap shadowing his eyes. And then he smiled. He looked so gorgeous that I might have gasped loudly.

- He ran off the stage into the left aisle in big strides. He was gone in a flash!

- Gotta hand it to Jo kwon. He is so funny and he acted so naturally. Jinki’s scenes with him are sooo funny.

- The lead girl’s voice is also amazing. So clear

- Jinki’s thighs are no joke

- When jinki sings the low notes, his voice is sonorous and full. When he belted that high note, i could see his neck veins popping out. And when they go into group choruses, he sings so strongly that he scrunches his forehead and really sings at the top of his lungs.

- That stance!

- My favorite part has to be the first song after intermission. The way Jinki sang that, ugh, butter.

- His role is a military officer but in true Jinki fashion, there were so many amusing moments!

- His voice!!!!!! faaaaaave

- Jinki’s smug face plus a side grin. Add this to the list of things I won’t be able to resist.

- A SPINNING KICK? I tell you guys!! Action star!!!

- Jinki at the end when he was the one giving orders and leading the men. 💙

- During the end greeting, when it was his turn and he walked towards the audience looking all serious and then his face melted into that familiar sunshine smile we know so well. Beautiful! He looked happy, smiling and waving at everyone.

- Why is he sniffing so much?!

- Jinki got the loudest cheers and claps!

- Jinki’s voice is really so strong and distinctive. You’ll know it’s him even in a sea of voices.

- All the emotions that this musical can pull out of you. wow. And it resonates with my own country’s experience too and it’s both sorrowful and hopeful

020219 Keyland The Agit

WHAT. A. SHOW. Kim Kibum delivering nothing but epicness and awesomeness and sincerity and fun!

How do I even start? My friend saw me as Kibum walked right past me and she said i probably used up all the muscles on my face because i was smiling so widely. 😅

I loved the part when Kibum talked about Keyland and explained how 5 SHINee members make up the SHINee world.

Jinki’s island has this huge, old smiling tree with tofu blocks as fruits, some tofu on the ground. In front of it is a big, comfy chair with a small round table, with a plate of fried chicken. Kibum was laughing a lot when he saw it. There was a sailboat on the side, and it all just seemed so comfy and serene.

Jonghyun’s island is a blue night. The moon is singing, and then there’s raincloud which just keeps on showering the flowers. The whole scene is so inviting.

And then there’s Minho’s island - an erupting volcano. Kibum was laughing his head off.

Taemin’s island is a fun, colourful stage. There’s stuff around which Taemin broke - phone, wallet, oar....

Then of course, Keyland! It was designed like an amusement park which is all magic and happiness.

It’s so joyful watching and hearing Kibum talk about his members. 💖

The stage started with a white, drapey cloth covering the dancers and Kibum. Then he started the show with Chemicals. When he immediately segued to Shift, there was a collective awww that filled the hall. He did his ment and then jumped straight to Hologram. I really love his dance step for the chorus.

The first VCR is of Kibum and his children. Comme des and Garcons are soooo cute! At the start, he got a golden ticket to Keyland. Then it brought him to various places in it like Entertainer City (which showed him practicing his script mainly his dirori line) and Artist Village (which showed him dancing and performing).

The next set began with Duty of Love and Easy to Love. He messed up a bit on the former (he was dancing opposite the direction of the dancers. He was laughing). And he was wearing this black see-through with white jacket/blazer on top. He’s so sexy but the songs and their choreo are soooo fun.

After another ment, he sang Honest and Imagine. I love, love, love this segment. He was dancing so hard and his movements are sharp and then he suddenly smiles and has THAT look and you just melt. There’s this part in Imagine when he, i don’t even know if i can describe it, he did this step where he raised his right leg to the front (bent at the knee), a bit to the side and then he did two body waves while in that position. Like. How. But really, this set is sooooooo gooood. I hope they come out with a DVD.

The second VCR came on and it was kibum in workman’s overalls tied at the waist. He was wearing a white shirt with the sleeves rolled up. He looked serious all throughout as the scenes jumped and melded into one another of him writing graffiti. At the end, it read “welcome to keyland”. This VCR. OMG. Kibum looked so hot.

Then the stage opened with Kibum in a small, elevated stage and a standing mic singing an acoustic version of OOTN. The dancers joined him at the chorus I think and the fanchants were so loud! Good, good was up next.

He then did another ment where he started talking about a new song. A repack! As if SHINee World isn’t crazy enough in February. 😂 He sang I Wanna Be and the whole stage is so fun and addicting. I can’t wait to hear the song again. At the end, he literally dropped to the floor, and caught his breath while drinking water. As he was talking to us, he was asking about the dance step/point of the song’s choreo. There were loud exclamations of “kwiyowo!” Haha. I Will Fight next.

And oh, in the ment, he was saying something like “this is the last song” and then when we all made a disappointed/disapproving sound, he was like “you guys know there’s still an encore anyway”. He was sassy.

After the encore, Hitchiking started playing. The dancers were giving away flowers while some of them were walking down the aisles taking pictures of the shawols with polaroids. Then Kibum! He walked down both aisles, smiling as he moves along. He was singing to Forever Yours.

From there, he sang another new song!!!! He was seated, in the middle of the stage, with spotlight on him. And finally, This Life. He was smiling so much when he saw the banners!!

Again. WHAT. A. SHOW. Kibum looked so comfortable, it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that it felt like he was with friends. And wow, hearing Kibum singing live. How can he be so perfect?!

I love it too how he’s showing us his individual color, but he always ties it back to SHINee. SHINee love. I love them so much.

It’s a happy day. A happy start to Keyland Agit. Can’t wait to visit and enjoy it again. 💖

100819-120819 Taemin Arena Tour XTM 2019, Musashino Day 1-3

taeminnie’s wide-eyed, open-mouthed, hand-on-his chest happy face as he watched the surprise video at the end of the last concert made everything worth it. 💜 what an amazing tour taeminnie!!! what a thrill and an honor to witness your growth! and to think that there’s lots more to look forward to! so proud of you always!!

1 June 2019 13 months, 17 days - D-415

This day last year is one of the fondest memories i’ll have in my life. I realised what people meant when they say they’re walking on clouds. When the fansign started, I was giddy, I was nervous, I was frantic. What do I say? What should I do? How do I look? How do I say everything I want to say? How do I tell Jinki how much he means to me? How do I tell each one of them how much happiness they bring me? Should i attempt to speak in Korean with them? Do i give my gift first? Should i, what if, maybe... But when it was time, everything melted away. Jinki was the first one I’ll get the sign from and I was waiting on the side for my turn just watching him and when he finally turned to me, he was smiling ever so gently and I was a goner. Every single moment after, every word, every chuckle.. lovely, lovely, lovely. I heard him say my name and if that is not the most wondrous thing ever, I don’t know. My toes still curl when I remember this. I must have looked funny because when I went to Kibum after, he told me “you look happy.” Aaah, SHINee.

160219 BEST CHOI’s MINHO, 7pm Sangmyung Art Center

I will forever be grateful that I lived in the same time as SHINee. All the amazing things that I got to experience because of them, all the wonderful people I got to meet and talk to, all the happiness I felt, the rollercoaster of emotions - i did because I have them in my life. And the way they return that love makes me love them all the more. 💛

OKAY! NOW THAT I’VE LET OUT ALL THAT SAPPINESS, OHMYGOD. MINHO IS GORGEOUS.

You guys probably have seen all the accounts from yesterday. And fansite videos came out too. Here are a few things I wanted to add:

The opening vcr was of Minho in bed. Haha. The story is like he just woke up, he’s shirtless and he’s smiling with sleepy eyes into the camera. Yup. HEART BURSTS. Then he gets up and chooses a song to play. Latin music over classical. Then he danced to it. 😄 So that’s M for Music.

Then he faces a choice of exercise - on the floor are weights and yoga mat. He chose the latter. Then he did exercises and the camera focused on those sinewy arms. This is H for Health. Then it’s N for Nutrition. The choice is what cereal to eat. He chose Froot Loops happily. 😂 So we’re left with I for Item, which is a choice of watch to wear. Then last is O for Outer, for the choice of coat to wear.

After the vcr, the lights came on and Minho walked on stage. He was wearing this.

Then he sang Sunday Morning. ❤️ And he’s just the cutest thing having so much fun swaying to the song.

Then Park Jisun came out and started the interview. They started talking about what Minho was busy with recently, his latest movie, and how Minho came up with Best Choi’s as the title for his fanmeeting. After this is a series of questions/choices that Minho has to answer. The 7pm questions were very creative. Haha. And of course, with Kibum there, it became all the more amusing.

For the 2pm show, the above section is followed by Minho talking about his choice of food. They put all his choices up on a board and it became apparent how much he prefers spicy food and pork. 😂 We didn’t have this part on the 7pm show, and instead, we jumped right into the shawols choice - favorite Minho movie/drama character and favorite Minho style. At the entrance to the hall earlier, they made us stick colored papers/circles onto it. We all preferred Kim Cheoljin and Minho in suits. ❤️

Then time for the next section. The next vcr is of Chef Minho teaching us how to make Egg Mayo Sandwich and salad. Funny Minho with all his side comments and acting cute all throughout. After this, Minho came out in this next outfit.

He sang Soran’s “Studying You”. He said that it was to tell Shawols that he’s studying us. haha. And we all were melting from the cheesiness of it. I mean, look at these lyrics!

These days

Minho played with Beat Saber on VR. He played I Want You both shows. For the next song, the audience kept on asking him to sing TT. But he never even considered it 😂 He played Gee gee for the 2pm show and Why for the 7pm show. He was so into it! He even folded his sleeves up so as not to hinder his movements. Haha.

Time for Bingo! That was so exciting!! They both got signed aprons from Minho with the loveliest message on it. The one who won the 2pm show, Minho even screamed her name like “Ji***aaaaaaa! Saranghe!!!!”. In the 7pm show, when Minho showed the signed apron to everyone, he also said the message is for everyone. He knows of our jealous hearts. 😂

After this, Park Jisun said her goodbyes and Minho left the stage to change outfits. My favorite vcr played. It’s the funniest thing with Minho being so extra. My belly laugh was probably heard all the way to Jeju. Haha. Then Minho entered the stage looking like this:

Please look for Dreaming’s video of Attention, and you’ll understand why this is craziest moment ever. His proportions made the choreography so much more deadly. My heart dropped because he looked amazing!! Then of course, the SHINee medley started. All us shawols were screaming our hearts out!!! That was amazing!!

Time for the last set, when he sang Paul Kim’s Every Day, Every Moment. He said he wanted to sing this for shawols. Choi Tenderheart, everyone. ❤️

Then on the 7pm show, he really took his time to wave to everyone. At the end of both shows, I just felt so happy. I’d give him anything!! It was such an amazing experience and I’m excited for all that Minho will give us in the future.
