I just heard a news report on NPR about first responders being in danger of overdose because of the extreme potency of certain illegal drugs which are increasing in popularity. Touch it and you could end up on the hospital or worse. I can’t help but wonder how this could effect the consulting detective who licks drugged candy wrappers. Something where Sherlock rather innocently ODs, and John is given the info that he is in hospital for an overdose, but not *on what*, so he doesn’t realise it is a contact OD. They can be in a relationship or not, living together or not, FtL or not, but I want everyone to have assumed Sherlock was way past this particular danger (as “past” as an addict ever gets) and sad/disappointed.
