planning to rewrite old fic

I'm both a JinakoxKarna shipper & an ArjunaxKarna shipper. I face daily issues w/ my own morality over the fact, but I'd just like to say JINAKOxKARNA IS AN AMAZING SHIP. We all have our tastes so it'd be nice if ppl who don't like the ship would pls refrain from mean comments. Also, I like Karna but I relate most to Arjuna&Jinako. I actually get really emotional because I feel like Jinako a lot of the time. Useless & no good, but I love the fact that in the end she tries. Sorry for ranting.

Rant away! It’s ok to ship whatever you like! I am not into BL personally (I am more of a Girl’s Love and Het fan) and DW and TM definitely know ArjunaxKarna is a profitable and an extremely popular ship, so don’t feel bad lol. They engineered it for sure. Even Jinako’s VA ships ArjunaxKarna…

I think a lot of people who dislike non-problematic ships openly are either quite young or feel personally very connected/affected by the ships they stan, or simply dislike their desired favourite characters to be paired a character they find ugly/non-attractive, so it’s difficult for them to desire the ship. It breeds pettiness/possessiveness, and very common, really. It’s entertainment, after all…

I could just ignore it, but sometimes maybe saying anything back is better so people who do this don’t get used to non-confrontation. 

Jinako I like because she represented the hopelessness of a lot of real life people in urban setting, and I find the connection with Karna was quite smart, as both experienced abandonment by ‘gods’ (Jinako feels abandoned, Karna is literally abandoned) and Gatou was written to give a connecting perspective of someone who were seeking Gods and finding out that we don’t have to rely on Gods to be saved (in which on Nero’s route Karna understood that he was ‘saved’ from his doomed fate/role because his weird master told him to do literally anything else other than being a warrior that caters to his human side, which made him realize he doesn’t have to be confined to his role, and in return, subtly told Jinako that she can also be saved from her own demons so to speak, like she did him) 

Saving each other from demons of the past doesn’t have to be grand. For some, simply having a companionship, being given patience, understanding and enough differences to grow from could be enough. So I find it very refreshing that the growth becomes sort of gentle throughout the years between them.

I also love the fact by the end of CCC, he didn’t try to change her. He simply just say, you DESERVE To live too, even if you’re nobody because he also thinks he’s a nobody. I don’t know exactly why it resonated so much to me and my feelings for people around me. I am still trying to find words for it, but I like the beautiful ambiguity- that perhaps we don’t have to be caged into becoming ‘someone’ to have worth, you know? Everyone is the same, the sky is above us, we’re all allowed to enjoy the sun, because we’re alive, and we have the rights to live, regardless the worth society put upon us etc. 

Sorry for ranting. I was the type that works so hard I’d get admitted into hospital for overworking because I never felt I worked hard enough (monetary and personally) with shit returns so in a strange way, I relate to Karna a lot, and his relation to Jinako XD

Maybe it’s some kind of an optimistic nihilism? Which is a philosophy I actually live by, so…

ANYWAY never feel bad about ranting. I rant for hours if not stopped, you’re fine xD any time.
