Are you a lion or a lamb? || Antonius & Lysandra
Standing straight and with an eye on all of the attendees, Antonius Malfoy watched closely for his date for the evening. Her name was Lysandra Yaxley and she was a petite blonde, pureblood -of course- and allegedly quite charming in personality. This would be their first meeting. He knew it was a bit forward of him to seek the young lady out and invite her to the gallery opening, but since she’d been shoved into the spotlight with him, he felt a sense of duty to her. He knew the photographers would be most interested in their relationship, but this was the best way to show that nothing inappropriate was happening between them. He would play the part of a perfect gentleman and she would play hers. It was unfortunate that she was caught up in the scandal of his nonexistent love life, but he was determined to make the best of the evening. He knew nothing of her family’s connections and he assumed she knew about his large fortune. He would remain guarded as usual, since it was best to not give her false allusions about his intentions. This was a peace treaty between their families, not a marriage proposal. Despite his seriousness, his hands were tingling since it had been long since he stepped out with anyone.
As Antonius turned to his left, he smirked, spotting her instantly. Lysandra was prettier than his “special friend” which had appeared in the Vanity Witch photo with him. She looked stunning, wearing the latest in fashion and he could tell by her body language that she was likely intelligent. He racked his mind for the few details that he knew about her. Ah, that’s right, she was sorted into Ravenclaw at Hogwarts. Antonius did not have many memories of Ravenclaws at Hogwarts, but he much preferred that house to Gryffindor or Hufflepuff. He got the impression that many Ravenclaws did not oppose the Dark Arts, so naturally he favored them after his own house.
Taking a few steps forward to meet her line of view, Antonius bowed in front of her. “Good Evening, Miss Yaxley. It is my pleasure at last to meet your acquaintance.” He greeted cordially. “I am most grateful that you accepted my invitation to accompany me to this opening. I do hope that your journey found you well.”
“I cannot say that I have ever had the pleasure of visiting your estate.” Antonius confessed and looked down at his shoes, a bit shyly. “Pray tell, what part of the country were you raised in?” He asked, looking up and meeting her eyes.
