After months of consideration, I’ve finally picked the names for the Redd girls! I’m still in the depths of Native American research, but I’ve spoken to enough Native people to determine that it would be too difficult to pick accurate names derived from a tribe, without being offensive. So I went with flower names, since Kennedia is a botanist and would undoubtedly inspire plant names for her kids. The symbolism for each name ties closely with their personalities 🌸
