I never did post the third page of crystal lizard concept sketches. (Not actually crystal lizards this time, but rather a creature which hunts them.)

Here's the second crystal lizard concept art I drew. The plants are based off plants I saw at a botanical garden a few months ago.

Upon reflection, the gnarly hand doesn't actually fit into the concept. Too human, I think, but I still like the concept of the lizard being menaced.
