“This new single from New Zealand’s Junica was produced by Silicon’s Kody Neilson (brother of Unknown Mortal Orchestra’s Ruban Neilson). While it retains Junica’s signature influences and structures of ’80s shoegaze and synthpop, Neilson’s influence can be felt in the production with a more lo-fi and organic approach – Junica’s previous lush, shiny textures give way to spacier, blunter edges, while still retaining a familiar pop format. 

The cute music video for “Looking Out,” directed and shot by Junica’s Nik Brinkman, features Brinkman and actors inside “moving portraits” and purposely avoids the use of digital effects.

Keiko looked up to Asuna, confused. “I am?” She then poked her stomach. “I don’t look like I am?” She could remember her longtime friend but had no knowledge of when or how she got pregnant.
