some pjo Juniper Underwood headcanons because she's my favorite ever

-Grover has many nicknames for Juniper she loves all of them but her favorites are June bug, Junie and Berry

-Junipers hair is crazy curly to the point where she has little berries and leaves that get caught in her curls when she transforms and it's really cute

-Juniper and Annabeth have a very close relationship, Juniper taught annabeth how to cross stitch and Annabeth is teaching Juniper about architecture because Juniper wants to make one of them tree homes that the trees are still alive in yaknow

-Juniper loves animals; she considers almost every creature in the forest a pet and cares for them if they are injured and will also get them good if they're having trouble finding it themselves.

-Juniper is autistic and when she gets overstimulated it is having a break/meltdown she will transform into her tree form as a way too cool off her senses and calm her mind down,

-One year Percy got Juniper watercolors for her birthday and she uses them almost everyday since, she will paint different scenery paintings and give them to her friends.

-Juniper before she really knew grover would sneak to the cloven elders meetings and watch secretly because she liked the way the Satyrs interacted, that's where she first saw grover

-Juniper loves to make pinecrowns for her friends and will give them to the water nymphs all the time she thinks it's cute giving them a part of her world

How Do You Need to Be Loved?

like a child loves the rain

you need to be loved in happiness and foolishness. a puppy love, a love so purely good, so full of happiness it makes your stomach ache. you need to be loved in a way that reminds you of the childhood you didn’t get to have. you need to be loved as if you’re feeling the rain fall upon your cheeks for the first time. refreshing, and clean.

That would be Juniper, as long as it’s not about any sort of vegetation, she can be convinced to believe most anything. This partly because she’s been rather sheltered for a good portion of her life but also because she’s wants to learn and trusts people to tell her the truth about certain things.

Does Juniper like rough? Things like spanking, biting, hair pulling

"Wha-?! N-No!"

Juniper does like being playful every now and then, especially role play using courtroom speak, but spanking is not something she likes. Biting and hair pulling she can tolerate if it's not too hard, but go too excessive on more rough things and it might kill the mood for her.

This is Juniper’s team

Sunbeam was a gift to Juniper, her first ever Pokémon, raised from a Sunkern by her grandmother not long after Juniper was born. Her grandmother used to be a strong trainer, but she eventually retired and became a Pokémon breeder, a profession Juniper has taken to with a fantastic aptitude for it. She and Sunbeam have taken care of many Pokémon over the years, and she tends to a daycare with her grandmother close to a forested route. Sunbeam and Juniper are always together, and, like much of her Pokémon, he spends little time in a  Pokéball, practically none whatsoever.

Flora was also a gift to Juniper, though she was a Gloom at the time she was given to her by her best friend Athena. It was quite by accident that she discovered a Sun Stone triggered her evolution. Juniper has a number of growth and beneficial items for Pokémon that she keeps in her storage, including evolutionary stones as well as various vitamins, berries, and Pokéblocks, among other things. One day, Flora was close as Juniper held a Sun Stone in her hands, about to put it away, when it glowed, and the Gloom began to glow similarly, changing on the spot, and seemingly willingly. Flora mostly helps take care of the garden, helping berries grow and its dancing ensures the plants get all the sunlight they need.

Among the Pokémon she and her grandmother raise aside from those who are brought in from daycare are Eevees, There is a whole pen for the Eevees and their evolved forms that they raise, and they’re all very affectionate pets. Juniper grew close to a particular Eevee she named Rina, though her evolution, much like Flora’s was also a total accident. Juniper started taking Rina on walks with her (and Sunbeam as well), and on one of these walks, they encountered an aggressive Poochyena. Rina fended of the Poochyena while standing next to a rock covered in moss and began to evolve, though Juniper didn’t realize the mossy rock was what caused her to evolve specifically into Leafeon at first Nowadays, Rina looks after the Eevees with the other older Eevees among them who have evolved by now as well, and she is particularly protective of them and Juniper as well.

Nora’s evolution, unlike Flora and Rina, was entirely intentional. Nora was a Togepi that was given to Juniper to take care when a pair of Togetics staying at their daycare had an egg. The trainer asked Juniper to look after it as they didn’t have the time to raise a baby Pokémon when they had to travel as often as they did. Nora looks to Juniper as if it were her own mother, being the first thing the young baby Pokémon ever saw when she hatched. Its happiness grew quite easily while being with Juniper to the point where it was only a couple months later when it evolved into Togetic. As Nora began to tend to other Pokémon being raised around Juniper’s home, Juniper decided to let Nora evolve if she wished, and she agreed, evolving with use of a Shiny Stone, better able to take care of the younger Pokémon as a result. Nora is more of a maternal figure to the younger Pokémon now, but she still firmly sees Juniper as her own mother.

Bolt came into Juniper’s life when, while going on a nature walk with Nora and Sunbeam, the Joltik clung to store static electricity, since he couldn’t generate any himself, something Joltiks are known to do. The wild Joltik wound up staying with them all the way back to her home, and wound up staying there, now being taken care of by Juniper. Bolt mostly stays indoors, safe under his trainer’s care, and is surprisingly affectionate with other people, but every now and then it goes outdoors to play with other Pokémon...and also store static electricity from larger  Pokémon if it feels the need, though Juniper has managed to convince him to not do this as much nowadays.

Celebi is not actually Juniper’s Pokémon, but she has seen it several times around the forests near her home, and it seems drawn to the brunette for some reason, not shying away when it is spotted by her and she goes near the legendary Pokémon. It seems that this is one of a few forests the mythic Pokémon has taken to guarding, and, every now and then, lucky trainers along the path might just catch a glimpse of it...and any troublemakers will catch far more than that from Celebi.

the pining, the aching, the wishing, and hoping; it's what you whisper to yourself under the cover of darkness as you fall asleep thinking of them. it's the text you've typed out and deleted before sending at least a dozen times. it's the countless pictures of them you have of them on your phone, the home screen image of their smile that you know will give you away the next time they jokingly swipe your phone. it sits restless and suffocating at the back of your throat. rip dude, i know how that is.

The Orange

Whether it’s your sweet nature, breakaway cover, or your natural displays of intimacy, you have the undercurrent of the orange.
