There was a reason June didn’t drink much, her mood dropping almost immediately as she dropped her head onto the bar top. She had been having nightmares again, barely sleeping, and being at the bar just felt better, if only because her uncle was there.
Still, she hadn’t realized she had said anything aloud, hadn’t noticed that it was a new face she had dropped down beside until she bothered to lift her head up again.
“Sorry, thought you were...fuck, I don’t even know.”
