I wrote a little thing for your witchy wishlist. I wrote about Anat, as she jumped out at me (had to stalk your Canaan 101 section, as I am unfamiliar; I work with the Greeks). Anyways, I think it'll fit in two of these? Might be three? Not sure if you have a trigger warning for blood, but I do mention it (the war thing, and all). Anyways, coming right up in the next couple of things. I hope you enjoy!
Smeared in victorious ambergris, she grins with an impish look in her eyes, pausing to wipe the blood off her arrow tips. “The blood, it runs like rivers, from your enemies and mine. Blood is blood. Don’t ever forget that.” Placing the last arrow in her quiver, she stands up and finds the full moon, hung high in the sky, glancing through the thunder clouds. The soil is damp and rich beneath her, and she laughs wildly as she takes off at a run, ecstatic with the feel of battle still roaring in her veins, as the thunder roars in yours. You reach up and touch your damp forehead, wet and chilled from the sudden rain, still slightly sticky with the blood from your battle. As another squall picks up, you swear you can hear the echoes of her laughter riding on the storm as the lightning crackles overhead. Blood and water, purge and renew.
